Let me tell you honestly, you are confusing the man with the job here.
I don't agree with a lot of his posts, some are even immflamatory, but, the thing is, he's posting as poster Stroller, and he has every right to his opinion, just like every other poster.
I was recently asked to be a moderator, and much to everyones surprise, I accepted. I've been wondering if I made the right decision. Seems I've joined in "interesting times".
Frankly, from what I've seen, the problem isn't with the moderation. Posts in the issues section heve been getting more and more incendiary, as have the new threads being started.
Another side-effect is that some good posters are staying away. This limits the number and views in discussion in any thread until you have two polarized camps who then stir each other up. Things have got nasty.
I've been really surprised at the restraint the moderators have shown.
Maybe its time to examine instances of when we were part of the problem and not the solution. I know I've been guilty of it.
