If you can ignore others, fine, but I prefer someone complains rather than go beserk in public. Complaints are taken seriously and dealt with - there's nothing childish about it.

I've been up all day. I've been in Kitsap for a month on holiday. I'm in a great mood. I've been boating and barbecuing. Spending time with family and the couple of ol' mates that are still left. I'm content. Have I had a couple of cans of Busch? Yes.

My post was harsh to you because you really irked me when you called someone a 'commie' who was, and is not on. That's a dangerous and false label. When you state these false things I think it's because of those radios shows or websites. False labels p*ss me off.

I just want to make one last comment on this.

On the other forum, in the Virtual Pub, you started and entire thread with my username, slandering me as a "former pizza delivery boy and a TEFLer" to that effect. An entire thread in the Virtual Pub, dedicated to me, made by YOU.

That....is a personal attack (and I never was a pizza delivery boy either). And I am not into EFL and have not been for about 3 years since I started tutoring history, humanities, science, English, algebra, etc.

I have not forgotten that thread you started. But I won't replicate what you've done.

This is a web forum, not real life. From time to time many of us get involved in heated discussions and forget that the avatar and username actually represents a real person with a face, a name and a life.

Other times, one may say something as a joke, but the nuances of the comment doesn't get across to the reader, and offence is taken.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you know nothing of the state of the posters, a poster may be drunk, tired, dealing with emotional problems, etc, so he/she lashes out just to blow off some steam. Better to do it here, than out in the real world, right?

So please, people, chill out, try to keep it civilised, but accept, perhaps even expect some abuse from time to time. I don't know if Milkman, Marmite, SK, BM, Stroller, etc. have ever met (I have met none of you), but I bet that if you guys met in real life, you would probably get along just fine.

I've met both Milky & Stroller and both are good guys. I know people who have met Butterfly and think he's a twat, but I'll defer until I've met him myself.

Well, he's a character.
For sure a "twat" towards some.

I am more the pacifist type, I get on with most people in real life, at least for the evening.

My ducks are fine, the guy came round spraying whatever at 6 am, I didn't even notice it. Believe me the birdflu news made me jump.
