Yawn, yet one more racism thread, could this not have been put in one of the threads we have on this subject all ready, and then I might add we should make a sub forum called, "Real boring stuff from the US" and dump those threads there, come on get over yourself we are all just human beings, its true that the Blacks are not pulling their weight in US society because in part some historical reasons we all are aware of, but if every body refuses to take any heed of all the constant race issues being created for different political and gain purposes, then just maybe people, both Black and White, will start to just get on with their life's, because equal opportunity (the American way) now exists for all, Black and White alike, if there is no gain to be had by bringing this up it will go away, and as an outsider I will say about bloody time to, I get more and more nauseated every time the race issue is being scrupulously used in feeble attempts to gain an advantage.

The whole Country is economically balancing on the edge of the shitter, and a radical black racist like that professor Gates manages to steal the headlines, and the President himself jumps with both feet right into the quagmire, unbelievable unprofessional conduct and unwise micro management of a Man who are running wars all over the globe and who are supposed to unite the Americans in this time of serious crisis.

So in a way I suppose if the US President cant raise himself above petty race arguments then it probably is way to much to ask from TD posters.

Jimmuh isn't afraid to speak out:-

Racism Blamed for Clamor Over Obama
Former president Jimmy Carter said Tuesday that he believes race is at the core of much of the opposition to President Obama.
"I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he's African American," Carter told NBC in an interview. "I live in the South, and I've seen the South come a long way, and I've seen the rest of the country that shared the South's attitude toward minority groups at that time, particularly African Americans"
Continued Carter: "And that racism inclination still exists. . . . It's an abominable circumstance, and it grieves me and concerns me very deeply."
The 39th president also predicted that Obama will be able to "triumph over the racist attitude that is the basis for the negative environment that we see so vividly demonstrated in public affairs in recent days."

^You got that right. I saw his interview and it looked like he'd been crying his eyes out over this. He's just stirred the racist pot, the geriatric nutter. He should stick to shelling peanuts for the squirrels.

Well, I bet their urge to vote will drop dramatically now that ACORN's been outed and won't be paying them anymore.

Larv, I started this new thread because racism has become such a big issue now (hmmm, didn't I say so way last year?).

Kanye West showed how racist he is at that show the other night.

The Term"African American" is a racist term in the first place, unless they were actually born in Africa and then naturalized Americans, if you are born in America [ which is a land of immigrants] you are a natural born American or if your pasrents are American and you were born in another country,
Even with Obama being 1/2 white trash, and the other half almost pure Arab, with 1/6 black, you can very easilt tell he has porch monkey blood so why say he is african american when he is only 1/6 max. negro due to his Grandma.

    ^ I don't use the term "african-american."

    I use "American."

    Period.

This is the best term, IMO. Regardless of background of ANCESTORS.

Yes, but it's the blacks that prefer 'african-american', much like mexican-american... It's their designation for themselves...

Funny how a black person can refer to another black as 'nigga', but if a white person were to do the same it's considered racist... More separatist PC bullshit designed to segregate the masses based on racial stereotypes and dogma...

    Old topic, rehashed to death...

Referring, of course, to some people's incomprehension of everything around us.

I'm not even going to resort to basics. Why bother?

Sometimes, well, I don't despair of people who read TD every day. Just the minority who do.

Let's face it. TD is an opinion. An opinion of people who post a lot.

But they forget who is watching. A silent majority of members who are afraid to say anything publicly for fear of being ridiculed.

They can see you, albeit anonymously. For what you are. But let them speak, they can, but don't WANT TO.

By the way errm.. Can we have Miss white America, or the white music awards, or the white chamber of commerce....................
Obama did not win the election because of the Black vote only. He won because of the guilt-factor that was pushed on the voters by the media and the groups like ACORN and others of that ilk. Many comments made in Atlanta area blogs and media outlets attest to this fact. Comments like,"Now, we don't owe them anything. We voted their Man in." And, to many Blacks in the Atlanta area, it was a gateway to demanding entitlements they felt they are "owed". Yes, racism is alive and well in the USA and we are seeing it first-hand here. Were White groups meeting and rallying, it would be called racist. With the Blacks doing so, it is called progressive.......racism is alive and well.

The cries of "racism" emmanating from some of the White members of this forum are laughable. Racism!? They don't even know the meaning of the word much less have actually suffered under it.

It's only within living memory that the Civil Rights Act was passed. There is in fact people alive today that could be posting on this forum that were subjected to segregation and limited/restricted rights purely because of the colour of their skin. And the passing of that Act was no magic bullet or pancea for racism - it's still institutionalised, alive and well in the hearts and minds of many (as is displayed without compunction on this forum on a daily basis).

And now there's a Black President and all of a sudden the Chicken Little's are running around yelling "Racism! Racism!". And what have they suffered: deprived of liberty or rights; forced to use inferior services; denied the ability to vote; considered as property; harrassed by the Police... Anything?? No.

What a joke. The more I read from some posters on here the more proud and thankful I become of my mixed-race heritage and, specifically, that part of me that's not White.

^ Ah, part Kaori? Cool. I just learned I got a pint of Cherokee blood in me.
Sabang, I think the new poster was referring to black protests of years past.
The anti-conservative posts here are so rapid. Equal opportunities! Sure. I'm gonna start a White College. A White community organizing group. A White Caucus.
Wake up. Forget all race stuff -- no more black colleges, black scholarships, black entertainment awards.

With all the calls of racism from Van Jones, ACORN and Jimmy Carter, and the mainstream media jumping in head first, it looks like the left is off and running with something, anything, to divert people's attention from Obama's policies, spending sprees and moves to alienate allies while sucking up to America's foes. Aiya!

I am speaking of the Black Entertainment awards, the Black Music awards, and all of this ilk. I am not denying them the right to do so, I am asking what would be said if there were White-only gatherings of this nature? Just a small observation made here in GA. Why so defensive and opposed to hearing the point of view of those that do not agree with B. Hussein Obama and his bid for socialism forms of governance? We owe no race, party or group anything. We all owe it to ourselves to question things we do not agree with and to make that query known. It would be a blissfully utopian world if we all agreed. I for one, do not agree with Mr. Obama's agenda. I am not afraid to say so....by the way...I am not a pure-breed Whitey. I am Lakota and Slovak. How does this fit into your stereotype of those that oppose Obama? Ya wanna talk about down-trodden? Lakota lost their lands and culture and Slovaks were slaughtered under Nazi and Russian control.
