If the planet remains intact.
I think not, if folks cannot even get along and make peace on their own street. Or, maybe if Obama become world emperor, he can dictate all the rules.

6.8 billion.
Impossible.
Even less likely as countries get carved up into increasingly smaller sovereign states.
As global resources run out, food and water become more scarce and the effects of global warming take over raping and pillaging by the more powerful nations will become common place.
The more powerful will survive and the lesser fortunate will be absorbed or eliminated.
Probably not this century but not too far after.
Survival of the fittest, then. Or Mother Earth will send more disasters?
Small nations have proven more than capable of raping and pillaging.
Hutus and Tutsis in Rwanda, for example.
The OP makes no sense at all.
World with or without war? Under what historical context. Emporer?
Not understand.
Obama? The world has about 178 nationa-state.
What is the point of this thread?
^ Sure it does. I want to know what people think, including those who attack the US all the time. World Emperor Obama? Why not. What's he going to do after US prez?
^ There's an opening as a french fry cook at McDonald's on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago...
The military industrial complex is far to powerful to allow any sort of lasting peace in the world.
It seems to be human nature to try and dominate one another.
Not a possibility, as long as Americans exist.
Not until there is a single World Government.
I reckon about five hundred more years.

Indians did it before white men came, so it wasn't because of over crowding, but it make it more prevalent.
Cro-magnon and Neanderthal had it out in Europe, even before the Indians came and displaced Clovis man, Kenewick man was in there someplace too before Indians [who uninformed call Native Americans] in North America.
even ground squirrels fight for territory, so when everything else can get along, man might learn how to do it too.
I suppose the determination it takes to keep ones head burried so firmly in the sand should be admired.
6.8 billion people.
How much food do you think 6.8 billion people consume every day?
How many motor vehicles do you think are produced every day? how many useless unnecessary plastic items produced just for profits sake every day?
Do you assume the oil supply is infinite? or the iron supply? or any number of non renewable resources. Or even renewable resources (water).
Been to a fish market lately? tonnes of fish at thousands upon thousand of markets every day.
To deny global warming is just thick. Glaciers all over the world are melting and retreating at a rate never seen by humans before.
it is inevitable that the oceans will rise by at least a foot this century.
Deforestation, rising sea levels, depletion of resources, rising populations.
Something's got to give.
“If we stop testing right now we’d have very few cases, if any.” Donald J Trump.

Populations of all species are and have been rising, including food sources.
Plenty of oil left and btw, mankind has been quite resourceful with its inventions and technology and we will come up with new alternatives. Canada and the US are sitting on oil deposits 7 times than that of the Mid-East.
I caught several trout in Montana this summer! Fish and shrimp farms are the bomb by the way.
I spent the coldest summer in recorded history in Chicago. Things are cyclic. Even Al Gore is recanting and switched his global warming tale to climate change.
Sorry, but history has been filled with people walking around with signs claiming "the end is near" Scarcity talk and "the sky is falling" stinkin' thinkin' is what it is.
I don't buy it - not for one minute.
I am with you Chi.
