From Doug Hampton,…….the husband of Cindy Hampton (the person Ensign had the affair with).

“The actions of Senator Ensign have ruined our lives and careers and left my family in shambles. We have lost significant income, suffered indescribable pain and emotional suffering. We find ourselves today with an overwhelming loss of relationships, career opportunities and hope for recovery. Our pursuit of justice continues to place me and my family in harm’s way as we fear for our well being.”

Jet supports the guy, even though he's a hypocritical adulterer, because he's a Republican, how very unsurprising.

^ Not at all. I just think it is funny the husband of the philandering chick is making such an a** of himself. Also, I heard Sen Ensign was separated from his wife at the time.

Funny? I guess that's how you saw the wife of the guy you were stalking . . . how dare these people show emotion about being wronged.

Heard? Do you have a link for this? As far as I am aware they were separated by distance, she not wanting to live in DC.

And even so, are you trying to justify his actions, Jet? I guess no surprise, a wanna-be adulteress supports an adulterer.

    ...an adulterer.
I find it difficult to understand American domestic politics, as it seems to consist of two groups of halfwits calling each other names and looking for mud to sling, which in turn results in the halfwits being covered in what looks like shit, which makes it harder to understand because it's so ugly to look at.... but, could you tell me how it is that you think "these people" have been "wronged"?

Oh, and is "adulterer" meant to be some devastating criticism? Really?

Not in 'normal' countries, but when the whole basis of a political and social direction is fidelity, being pious etc . . . then it must be . . . allegedly.

On the contrary, you seem to have a very clear grasp of the subject.

That's right. McCain dumped his first wife after she waited years for him when he was a prisoner in Vietnam, after she had a car crash and lost a leg (and an arm?).
He found uber-rich Cindy from an influential family that could help him with a political career.

As soon as an incumbent government utters the words "family values", you already know that they are morally bankrupt.
John Major's Conservative party started espousing "family values" a year, or so, before they were defeated at the polls because of massive sleaze allegations.
