    What motivates people to protest?

Bus Tour Swings By Homes Of Executives Who Received Bonuses

By ERIC GERSHON March 22, 2009

Protesters hold a rally in front of AIG Financial Products in Wilton after participating in a bus tour of two AIG executives' homes in wealthy Fairfield neighborhoods. Activists from ACORN and Connecticut Working Families Party took the tour to deliver letters to the executives thanking them for agreeing to return huge bonuses.

???????????? "Thanking them"? Is that what those protest signs say? Is this the sort of explanation we will be given when the thugs intimidate individual citizens? "Those were thank-you handshakes which rattled his teeth loose, honest." "We just stopped by your private residence to say "thank-you!"" "How are your children? They attend Country Day School, correct?"

This may sound funny, but it's very serious. The left, and I include our President, has taken politics to a lower level. This is street thuggery backed by the government. ACORN receives federal government funding. Obama has used ACORN during his Illinois days. He's using them now. He's using them against private individual citizens this time! Do you understand the significance of this?

That's right, Obama's allies at ACORN are acting as his Red Guard. Mao would be proud to know that an American has studied his tactics and implemented them in a "bold and swift" manner. The mob is a government financed community activist group linked with Obama. Talk about there being no such thing as coincidences. This thing is orchestrated. Leave nothing to chance. It's reminiscent of the fake Chinese astronaut dialog orchestrated by the Chinese government.

Obama is using ACORN to intimidate private citizens. This isn't a protest out in front of a chemical plant. It's thugs going to the homes of private citizens.

Where were these protestors 3 years ago? 5 years ago? 9 years ago, when the Credit Default Swaps were introduced and exploded at AIG?

My point: go ahead and protest.

It won't change anything. It's good that they are doing it for gaining attention to this, but as usual.....people wake up a bit too late. Including me.

it's highly amusing how you're about to include several of your bogeymen in one thread.

Some people are just born to whine.

I guarantee every prospectus these blowhards ever received has a disclaimer on it.

"There can be no assurances that the fund will be able to maintain its net asset value per security at a constant amount or that the full amount of your investment in the fund will be returned to you. Fund values change frequently and past performance may not be repeated."

They chose to ignore the possibility that it might all go south. And now they're whining. How many of these people paid any attention to who the board members were? How many voted during board elections?

They invested high-risk high-yield for the guaranteed returns. And they got burned. Nobody made them put their life savings into AIG.

If they're too stupid to realize their exposure, they had no business investing.

The tour was organised by a private citizen. Nowhere is there any reference to it being government financed, never mind anything to do with Obama. In fact, Obama is protecting the right of the AIG execs to collect their bonuses, on legal grounds.

Now, contrast that to these ludicrous 'tea partries' which are being extensively marketed via the right wing blogosphere, and theres money coming from somewhere to back it an co-ordinate it.

So just who are the howling, braying mobs these days??

^^ The bus was loaded with ACORN protesters and Connecticut Working Families Party protesters. ACORN receives federal dollars. This wasn't a protest inspired by an average citizen.
