I can't see this little exchange lasting very long.
i'm not sure peurile speculation about the sex life of posters is really what issues should be doing.

Whatever you say. As long as he keeps posting his baby eater, baby killer comments on my repo then he's being a total two faced liar and misrepresenting himself.

"For years the United Nations tried to cover up perverted and outrageous behaviour by uniformed and civilian personnel who have served in East Timor since 1999. But as a new wave of more than 2000 UN-employed police and staff prepare to travel to the capital Dili, Sukehiro Hasegawa, the top UN official in East Timor, has acknowledged for the first time that the UN system failed to bring anybody to justice for crimes that included sexual abuse of children and bestiality. Dr Hasegawa declared that the UN's Integrated Mission in East Timor, which officially became operational on Monday, would enforce a "zero tolerance" policy towards sexual exploitation and abuse committed by uniformed and civilian UN personnel. He said several UN staff would be employed solely to enforce the policy, which will include briefings for all staff at which "they will be made aware of the consequences of any activity they may carry out that could blacken the authority of the United Nations".

Great idea - perhaps next they could remove the veto powers of the permanent memebrs of the security council, so that the UN gets truely democratic.

As it is, the US is simply trying to make the UN useless.

Daniel Patrick Moynihan, former USA ambassador to the United Nations writing in his book, A Dangerous Place:

"The [USA] Department of State desired that the United Nations prove utterly ineffective in whatever measures it undertook. This task was given to me and I carried it forward with no inconsiderable success."

So long as any one nation can veto the actions of the UN it simply becomes a front for posturing and flatulent windbags.

Frankly I think it should be abolished. Waste of time and money if you ask me.

Great organization the UN ... why pass resolutions if you can't back them up:

"United Nations Security Council passed Resolution 1696, which gave Iran an ultimatum - the 31st of August - to stop enriching uranium. A few weeks have already passed since the deadline, and Iran has failed to make any moving towards compliance".

there is no reason why the iranians can't enrich uranium for peaceful purposes.....and there is no evidence (none, zero, zip, nada) that they are doing anything to the contrary.

Either you support the UN or you don't. I never have. You only want to throw in support of the UN when it fits your mind altered view of the world. You reveal yourself for the joke you are more and more.

UN office doctored report on murder of Hariri

From James Bone in New York and Nicholas Blanford in Beirut

'THE United Nations withheld some of the most damaging allegations against Syria in its report on the murder of Rafik Hariri, the former Lebanese Prime Minister, it emerged yesterday.
The names of the brother of Bashar al-Assad, President of Syria, and other members of his inner circle, were dropped from the report that was sent to the Security Council. NI_MPU('middle');The confidential changes were revealed by an extraordinary computer gaffe because an electronic version distributed by UN officials on Thursday night allowed recipients to track editing changes. The mistaken release of the unedited report added further support to the published conclusion that Syria was behind Mr Hariri’s assassination in a bomb blast on Valentine’s Day in Beirut. The murder of Mr Hariri touched off an international outcry and hastened Syria’s departure from Lebanon in April after a 29-year pervasive military presence.'

Opportunities at the United Nations for posters like raycarey, Marmutt, stroller, surasak to make a difference:

Job Vacancies in United Nations and International Organizations

** That Senior Human Rights Officer job should be right up strollers alley. But will he give up whores to fight for human rights ?

** Some computer specialist type jobs for the loud mouth limey Marmutt ... but will he give up the whores and booze ?

** Mulitple Finance Specialist jobs ... you up for it sadsak ?

** There's an Electrician job in Bangkok ... sounds good for Milkman. He'd be great at helping people get shorts out of their ass.
