    Israel's New Prophet

Avraham Burg was a pillar of the Israeli establishment but his new book is causing a sensation. It argues that his country is an "abused child" which has become a "violent parent". And his solutions are radical, as he explains to Donald Macintyre
Israel had to choose between "racist oppression and democracy" and that "having ceased to care about the children of the Palestinians, should not be surprised when they come washed in hatred and blow themselves up in the centres of Israeli escapism".
that Israel has been too long imprisoned by its obsessive and cheapening use – or abuse – of the Holocaust as "a theological pillar of Jewish identity".
"We will never forgive the Arabs for they are allegedly just like the Nazis, worse than the Germans. We have displaced our anger and revenge from one people to another, from an old foe to a new adversary, and so we allow ourselves to live comfortably with the heirs of the German enemy – representing convenience, wealth and high quality, while treating the Palestinians as whipping boys to release our aggression, anger and hysteria, of which we have plenty."
These are just some of the comments to come out Burgs new book, pretty explosive stuff, it is a long link, but worth the read, even if you just pick up on one quote, opinion or statement.

When reading the countless examples of Zionist arrogance and atrocities, I need to remember people like Avraham Burg to remind myself of all of the decent and brilliant Jews that the world has given us. On the modern academic scene, Norman Finkelstein, Noam Chomsky and Martin Van Creveld also come to mind. Personally, I think the assassination of Yitzak Rabin and the mass immigration to Israel of right wing Jews from Russia have twisted up that country something awful. Thanks for the intro to this guy.

The way I see it Israels occupation of Palestine, was then and is now, colonialism by western powers, wrapped up in the guise of religion.

If you believe that the Jews were given that geographical area just because of religious history then you are mistaken.

There is a resource in that area that is more valuable than gold or oil.

    Information.

On top of the Golan heights is an electronic surveilance station that can intercept communications across the whole of the middle east and eastern mediteranean.

The system they use is called ECHELON.

This technology was not invented or procured by the Israelis, it is US and NATO technology.

This is not a conspiricy theory or science fiction it is easily verified, we have the same system in operation in the UK at GCHQ, Cheltenham, which is able to monitor electronic information across the whole of Europe and is the reason for the UK's continued 'special relationship' with the US.

Israel may claim that in defeating it's neighbours it has earned the right to occupy it's terittory, but without US and European arms and supplies it would most likely have been defeated.

Without continuing support from the US with financial aid and the supression of opposition in the UN with it's veto power, Israel would have collapsed or been brought to account long ago.

All for that most vital resource, information.

It is a resource that must be protected at all cost, hence Israels agressive militaristic stance and inflexible right wing politics.

The religion is a front, and the blood debt a reason to exist in that region.

Israel talk about a lot of things, but mostly it's just bluster.
They talk about handing back the Golan Heights to Syria, but it will never happen unless the US can convince Syria to allow the continued presence of a US listening station there.

    I feel similarly.
It is very easy to see all the Israelis as a bunch of murderous, selfish thieves with no conscience or consideration for humanity. However I know there is a minority of Jews in Israel who oppose the blatant human rights abuses their country imposes on the Palestinians. I admire those people. It must be very hard to live in such a country built on hatred.

I think the "Brooklyn Jews" ie US citizens who have emigrated to Israel are among the most militant. Obama's chief of staff is a highly aggresive dual US/Israeli citizen. This coupled with senator for Jew York Hilary Clinton's likely new role as SoS (the woman who condemned Arafat when the Israelis were shelling his presidential offices) makes the future of the Palestinian's even more grim.
They champion falsehood, support the butcher against the victim, the oppressor against the innocent child. May God mete them the punishment they deserve

^Yes American politicians dance to Israels tune because of the Jewish lobbies control over the US media. And USA fund and use Israel as a proxy military back up in the Middle East to keep the oil producing nations there in check. A fairly cozy relationship of mutual benefit. Unethical and wrong, but cozy and mutually beneficial. And of course the Yank politicians try to justify it all on any grounds they can think up that the gullible public might swallow.
