Founder of 'Midnight University' passes away

Assoc Prof Somkiart Tangnamo, the founder of the well-known academic forum Midnight University, died of liver cancer early Tuesday.

He was 52 years old.

Somkiart, dean of the Fine Arts Faculty of Chiang Mai University, was pronounced dead at the Chiang Mai Hospital at 5:30 am.

He died of internal system failure stemmed from liver cancer.
