No, no . . . she is being misrepresented . . . and she reads all the newspapers and magazines . . . and she can see Russia from her bedroom . . . and she is the mother of the baby . . . and she believes that a woman has to carry her incestuous rapist's baby to full term . . . and she needed the $150.000 for a new wardrobe . . . and she knows she is up to the job of Vice President . . . no, she doesn't know what a vice president does . . . and she believes the tax rate in Thailand is 5%
. . . and she doesn't know that her own currency's $2,- bill is legal tender . . . (oh, sorry, mixed up moronic women) . . . and she'll be ready and waitin' and hopin' and wrasslin' and shootin' and skinnin' and flyin' . . .

May the holier-than-thou right wing nutjobs choke on their with-holy-water-sprinkled-moose-burgers

She wants to run in 2012 if she can get backing and was asking reporters about the primaries etc - this should be fun and provide more comedic material.

O'Reilly said she can be tutored - bwhaaaaaa

i think most americans would say that the first was an honest mistake, and that the second causes them to feel shame and embarrassment...that they were so easily manipulated by the politics of fear.

Actually, she is hitting back, striking out at the press and at two-timing aides. Oh, dear. Very detrimental to herself and the GOP. Tune into CNN.

^ There is a difference in IQ, though . . . one actually breaks the single digit barrier. Boom-Tish!

Watched probably the same footage as Jet on CNN just now . . . she is doing herself no favours, as Jet mentioned, and the GOP is a mess right now with resignations en masse . . . but the replacements are hard-liners . . . have they not learned?!

A bunch of campaign workers pointing the finger at her in order to deflect from the crappy job they did themselves. When they send out their CVs it's got to include "it was her fault!".

I'm not going to apologize for her, but I myself can't be sure if other Latin American countries were added to NAFTA subsequently. But then I'm not running for the VP slot. As far as her getting pissed at the news, who doesn't?

I think the paid campaign staff are trying to take the heat off themselves. They ran a shitty campaign. McCain is too old. His mind is five, six or seven beats too slow so he is too slow to respond off the cuff or outside his planned script. She was the wrong choice. Too provincial.

People voted for Bush the second time around because they had even less confidence in Kerry. Kerry was a complete dud. He would bow to his wife before television cameras. That sort of thing doesn't instill confidence amongst the American electorate. I'm sorry. It doesn't.

Exactly. Rats running from a sinking ship. The same rats that came up with the brilliant idea of thrusting her on the national stage long before she was ready for it.

You're probably right but frankly it's hard to imagine her ever being ready for it.

Most people's minds are already made up. I'm not sure this was a good move.

Palin wasn't a major factor in the defeat. The economic meltdown and the lame Republican/McCain response to it killed them.

Yep, people are looking for work now that the paid campaign gig is over. If they decide to stay in the Washington DC loop, they will have to suck up to the victors in order to gain employment.

This is exactly as I see it.

McCain, the supposed maverick, had a golden opportunity to distance himself from Bush when he put forward the $ 700bn bailout plan. Bush was seated in the centre with McCain to his right nd Obama to his left. Both candidates keen to be seen as part of the big deal.

It occurred to me at the time that this was the golden opportuity for one candidate to distance himself from the plan and from Bush, but they both sat there like dummies.

Subsequently the plan has been approved, but interest rates have had to be pared back even further and still nothing has really improved. Obama faces an even worse situation in that there can't be a second bailout and the interest rate weapon has now been exhausted. It's going to get whole lot worse before anything improves.
I see fish. They are everywhere. They don't know they are fish.

To nip her silly idea's in the bud

In one election the currency of America's politics has been raised worldwide by electing Obama - I doubt the GOP want to make themselves look stupid by having Palin as frontrunner for 2012 - Ther party does has a heart and its not among the new religious right nutters

Palin was a nasty little stupid woman who needs to get back to her small town and hide - those who promoted her should be under a rock with shame

Only a couple. The short list for some positions are of people with experience in Washington, because they know how Washington works. Some were in the Clinton administration. Other appointments may be familiar to us.

What rubbish, Earl = the McCain camp is salivating in their criticism of Palin . . .

Oh, and we shouldn't be too harsh on Palin not knowing that Africa is a continent, she can't see it from her living room window . . . so it doesn't exist

This is a statistically polled fact:

Palin was a drag on the ticket. The poll numbers show this.

How many independents were lost by Mccain, and whether it mattered, I don't know

After the Kouric interview there is a dip, and this dip continued.

Also, McCain's age magnified the sifnificance of his VP pick, Palin, who many felt was not knowledgable enough nor qualified to be President (nor VP).
