Obama can't debate and isnt quick on his feet. McCain will trounce him.

I had a dream about you last night brit.

You were a famous movie producer in Dorset.

You fell out of a tree but survived mostly unharmed.

After the convention, Sarah Palin arrived back in Alaska and was being driven in a chauffeured limo. When the car hits a cow that has escaped from a local farm.” Go and check to see if the animal is dead”. The chauffeur returns with the bad news "Yes" he replies. "Right you hit it you go and tell the farmer." Five hours later he returns, blind drunk and with a silly grin on his face. "What happened to you?", she asked.” When I got there the farmer opened his finest malt whisky, his wife gave me a traditional Sunday dinner and the 21 year old daughter showed me the hay loft.” ” Why, what did you tell them?" "I knocked on the door and when it was answered, I said to them I am Sarah Palin’s chauffeur and I have killed the cow".

I expect the democrats underestimate McCain and Palin. Their strengths are their respective abilities to think on their feet and appear likable and congenial. While Obama is clearly an effete politician.
And don't forget McCain and Palin are on the side of GOD.

We'll see, won't we - I can't wait for the debates, Palin will look as silly as can be . . . no idea about Biden.
    If McCain can
stop from looking like the septuagenarian he is the debate will be quite good with Obama.

    Looking forward to it.

I think Mr Earl was being tongue-in-cheek . . . though he should have his testicles ripped off by a soi-dog for redding me.

Not far from the truth, though, is it?! Not McCain, I don't think he will pander to the religio-nuts by caling on God . . . another reason I find 'his' choice of Palin odd - they seem so very different and have opposing views on many basic things.

    You don't need it.

I'd sponsor a dose of horse tranquilizers for yourself and your 'friends'. Jet gets two.

the mccain/ palin campaign claimed that she visited 'our troops' in iraq.

    whoops!

Following her selection last month as John McCain's running mate, aides said Palin had traveled to Ireland, Germany, Kuwait, and Iraq to meet with members of the Alaska National Guard. During that trip she was said to have visited a "military outpost" inside Iraq. The campaign has since repeated that Palin's foreign travel included an excursion into the Iraq battle zone.

But in response to queries about the details of her trip, campaign aides and National Guard officials in Alaska said by telephone yesterday that she did not
Palin arrived at Camp Buehring in Kuwait, where she held a town meeting with soldiers and reviewed various training programs designed to prepare troops to deploy into Iraq, said Lieutenant Colonel Dave Osborn, commander of the 3d Battalion, 207th Infantry of the Alaska National Guard, who was in charge of the 570 local troops serving in Kuwait and Iraq.

"The whole intent was to check on the Alaskans," Osborn said in a telephone interview yesterday.
On the second day of the trip, he said, Palin was flown to the border crossing, about 100 miles north of Camp Buehring, where she spent the morning meeting with troops and presiding over a ceremony in which an Alaska National Guard soldier extended his enlistment.

But she did not venture into Iraq, Osborn said. "You have to have permission to go into a lot of areas, and [the crossing] is where her permissions were," he said.
    lying about visiting 'our troops'.

sad days indeed....but at least she appears to know that she just can't outright lie and not be called on it....
In her interview with ABC News Thursday night, Palin did not mention Iraq in describing the visit, saying only that she went to Kuwait and Germany to meet with US forces.
good girl. the truth is always best.

oh, and by the way, her 'trip' to ireland?
the campaign acknowledged that Palin made only a refueling stop in Ireland.

Pale in comparison to John Kerry's misstatement about his "secret mission" into Cambodia December 1968.
I wouldn't expect much traction from it Ray.

put down the bottle earl. it's 2008.
most would think it's time for you to get over the guilt you carry about chickening out of service in vietnam.

and your response to her campaign lying about visiting 'our troops' is that:
    1. you think somebody else lied 30 years ago
    2. the lie won't get 'traction'.

deal with it earl, the truth about palin is coming out....

she did support the 'the bridge to nowhere'
she didn't sell that plane on ebay.
    she didn't go to iraq
    she requested millions in earmarks

and there's still another 50 days for her to be exposed!

and i have to admit that i am taking particular pleasure watching you and your ilk on this forum twisting like contortionists in an effort to muster a defense for a woman who you know is absolutely not qualified.

    great stuff.

It's curious how the spurious and scurrilous attacks on Palin only make her look better and rally more support on her side.
    So Ray keep them coming!

A Palin aide in Alaska had said Iraq was also one of the military stops on that trip.
Apparently it was only a misstatement made by an aide! Whooops! Now that's a deal-breaker for sure amigo.

yes, the mccain/palin campaign said she visited 'our troops' in iraq.

Earlier, McCain aides had said that Palin visited Iraq, and expressed indignation at questions about her slim foreign travel.
The campaign also said she had been to Ireland; that turned out to have been a refueling stop.
Report: Palin Did Not Visit Iraq | The Trail | washingtonpost.com

in the interest of 'truthiness', i'll edit the above posts to the mccain/palin campaign lied about palin visiting 'our troops' in iraq.
