A startlingly large percentage of our society seems to rely on these drugs to get through their day. I suppose if it helps I can't really fault it, but I just don't trust them at all, and I wonder what sort of society we've become to spur this legalised happy drug epidemic.

LSD started off as a psych drug too, although I think for more schizoid symptoms.

You've really got a point there

Unfortunately by the time I got this rapid eye-blinking sickness, I was simply and totally tied up with my various family committments as a sole-breadwinner for my wife and kids, and hence I simply could not afford living that typical type of lifestyle which would otherwise be totally carefree and happy-go-lucky for most people nowadays especially the teenagers, not to mention to provide sufficiently for my family whilst suffering terribly from such 'visually incapacitating' sickness at the same time.

Well, my real life experiences and observations simply tell me that there tend to be more and more grown individuals, especially the working adults nowadays who would eventually turn to such depression-related drugs to deal with the stressful work-related pressures that they could hardly cope (and the economy anywhere is still taking a downturn now while the fuel prices continue rising almost everyday, and hey, it's really tough making a decent living nowadays). So I guess it would just be rationally reasonable enough for this group of people to at least take note of such an issue about the undesired side effects of such drugs to avoid any unwanted disasters.
