I edited nothing, Mid. I thought that as I'd already addressed your claim to an answer in my previous paragraph there was no point repeating myself. Clearly I was wrong so since you missed it...

You haven't answered anything. You've merely repeated a claim that doesn't even stand up to the barest scrutiny of logic.

    have a good day
You too. Perhaps we can actually discuss this later when you're over this whole baseless-assertions and personal attacks thing.

Can't see what all the fuss is about.
Let gay people get married and get the same tax and status benefits as everyone else.
How does it harm anyone else by letting them get married?

Harms no one. And should be embraced as a revolution.

    Interesting thoughts.

I think you said it all with the words 'can't really see the point' BB. Meaning, I assume that you can't see the point. To a certain extent, having had a marriage break-up myself, I would agree with you, for myself. However, many, many people, gay & straight don't see it our way.

Why do most straight people get married? Tax reasons? Health insurance? Or because they're in love & want to spend their lives together? Sure 10 years down the road, that may have changed, but at the time of the marriage they love each other & want to show their commitment to each other.

Why should it be any different for gays? Aren't they capable of love or commitment? Of course they are.

Another point is that being told you can't do something that others have a right to do, can make you want it even more. Maybe some gays want to be able to show their love & commitment through marriage because they haven't been allowed to. As for divorce, maybe it'll be less of a factor with gays than straight couples. The long-term gay couples I know are far more committed to each other than the few long-term straight couples (I'm not talking about older generations) that I know.

Naw, don't keep me up nights, barking dogs do that,, but as many times as I have been married I hate to think of whacking em on the side of the head with a sap and then taking the bride or bride grooms wallet.
I have been married 1 time by clergy, 1 by other, and 3 times jumpimg the stick.
