Mugabe's birthday present: purge of last white farmers

You are all imbecile, scumbag, neocolonialists trying to belittle the achievements of the newly freed African powers still struggling with their colonial past.
Heres Mugabe's latest achievement- evicting the last of those scumbag, neocolonialist farmers! Far be it from me to belittle it :-

A SECRET plan has been hatched by President Robert Mugabe's most loyal supporters to evict the last of Zimbabwe's white farmers from their land before his 85th birthday.

He is already planning to celebrate the occasion with vast quantities of champagne and caviar, even though half his country faces starvation.
But just in case the Bollinger does not provide enough fizz, his acolytes are preparing an extra surprise: a fresh onslaught against Zimbabwe's last white farmers.

Police, prosecutors and magistrates loyal to Mr Mugabe are understood to be co-ordinating mass summonses against the few hundred remaining white owners in an effort to bring them to court and serve eviction notices.

The deadline for the action is next Saturday, the day before Mr Mugabe's birthday and a week before his planned official birthday bash, which has already provoked criticism for its extravagance. The hospitality will reportedly include 2000 bottles of Moet & Chandon and '61 Bollinger champagne, 500 bottles of Johnny Walker Blue Label whisky, 400 portions of caviar and 8000 lobsters.

While no official reason has been given for the eviction campaign, insiders say it is timed to hand Mr Mugabe a potent propaganda gift for his birthday celebrations, which normally feature grandstanding anti-colonial speeches.

Last Tuesday, in contravention of justice laws, groups of law enforcement officials held a secret eviction strategy meeting in Mutare, 260 kilometres east of the capital, Harare.

The plan is to send out court summons to all local white farmers who have defied eviction orders, aiming for speedy trials and jail for up to two years. Meanwhile, the new occupants, mostly servicemen, will be allowed to move onto the land.
Among the farmers summonsed was Michael Mackersie, who will go to court on Monday for the 63rd time in three years. "If I lose this one I think that will be it," he said.

Real shame what the basketcase of Africa has done to the one time breadbasket of Africa.

That being said one has to wonder what has motivated any white farmers to remain this long? I know in many cases leaving would mean leaving everything one owns, but that sure beats ending up in an African prison on some trumped up charges from Mugabe and his mob..

That agreement with the opposition, is a disaster waiting to happen, MDC should have walked away, now they are going to be crushed and associated with the collapse of this country

the biggest disgusting aspect of all this is the African Union, and South Africa, just proving to the world what we always knew

    Tsvangirai car crash 'perfect hit'

MORGAN Tsvangirai's Movement for Democratic Change party has described the car crash that killed his wife as a "perfect organised hit".

"This not a genuine accident," MDC spokesman Sibanengi Dube Dube said of the head-on collision with a truck in which the Zimbabwean Prime Minister suffered minor injuries. His wife of 31 years, Susan Tsvangirai, died at the scene.
"This is a perfect organised hit which was designed to eliminate the president of the MDC."

The Tsvangirais were heading to their rural home for a Saturday rally when the crash happened on Friday afternoon.

From his hospital bed in Harare afterwards, he told one of his aides that a large truck driving on the other side of the road had come towards his Land Cruiser, the middle vehicle in a three-car convoy.

"What he told me was that the truck went for his car," said Dennis Murira, director of public affairs in the Prime Minister's office. "That's how he put it."
The truck driver told the police that he had fallen asleep at the wheel, Mr Murira said.

The Tsvangirais' vehicle, which was carrying four people, rolled over three times after the collision.

The couple had been married for 30 years and had six children. Two daughters living in Australia are flying to their injured father's side.

The truck involved in the crash belonged to a contractor working for the US and British governments, America's ABC News said, quoting unnamed US officials.
The truck, which had USAID (US Agency for International Development) insignia on it, was bought with US government funds and its driver hired by a British development agency, the report said. It was on a routine delivery route.
The officials said the truck had been impounded and its driver arrested.

Zimbabwe's state television did not report the accident in its two evening news bulletins.

Here is an informative clip on how people must buy food and necessities with gold. Currency is not accepted. If you can't dig for gold, or not enough people in your family can dig for it, you will starve:

    Robert Mugabe ‘fighting for life'
    April 10, 2012

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe is reportedly extremely ill.
    Source: Herald Sun

ZIMBABWEAN dictator Robert Mugabe is said to be fighting for his life in a Singapore hospital.

According to the Zimbabwe Mail a senior official of the 88-year-old's ZANU-PF party, said the president was undergoing intensive treatment in Singapore and that some members of his family had joined him after boarding a chartered private jet on Saturday.

The alarm was raised yesterday when the government postponed a cabinet meeting set for today.

Mugabe spokesman George Charamba said in a statement: “The Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Misheck Sibanda, wishes to inform all members of cabinet that sitting has been moved from Tuesday, April 10, to Thursday, April 12, 2012.”

Mugabe had been in Singapore to oversee his daughter Bona's enrolment in a postgraduate course at Singapore University.

A U.S. diplomatic cable, from June 2008, released by WikiLeaks last month suggested Mugabe has prostate cancer that has spread to other organs.

It also stated he was urged by his physician to step down in 2008, but he has remained in the job.

The news comes amid reports Mugabe had agreed to hand over power to his feared Defence Minister Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Yesterday The Tehran Times said Mugabe had entered into a "gentlemen's agreement" to hand over power to Mnangagwa, 65, who assisted in orchestrating Mugabe's battle against white rule in the seventies.

Mugabe appointed the former head of the Zimbabwean Central Intelligence Organisation as his campaign manager by Mugabe during the 2008 presidential election.

He was widely blamed for the shocking brutality after his rival, Morgan Tsvangirai, edged ahead in the first round of voting.

Mnangagwa also received notoriety for his role in the brutal crushing of the Zapu party in the 1980s, in which thousands of civilians were killed.

The Zimbabwe Mail quoted a British-based Zimbabwe analyst, who wished to remain anonymous: “Mugabe's health impacts entirely on Zimbabwe's political landscape. Everything revolves around his health and his age.”

elsewhere official sources deny the above .

how terrible is it when you hope someone dies. But at the same time you know there is no real hope in the immediate future. Look at what that bastard has done. Enough.

The factions are more than likely lining up cloned successors..

That broader region has been quite a mess for some time now.

Unfortunately the bloke who is designated to replace him could be worse.

from Sydney Morning Herald - "It came as sources close to Mr Mugabe told The Daily Telegraph in London that Mr Mugabe had reached a secret "gentleman's agreement" to hand over power in Zimbabwe to his feared Defence Minister, Emmerson Mnangagwa, a former spy chief nicknamed "The Crocodile" and known for his ruthless style."

I read the bolded underline part and thought to myself, if there was anything close to a "gentleman's agreement", then Mugabe wasn't in the room.

I don't often say this about people, but in this case I hope the bastard rots in Hell.

'Healthy' Mugabe presides over Zimbabwe independence

Cheering crowds have greeted the Zimbabwean President, Robert Mugabe, at the start of independence day celebrations in Harare.

It is his first major engagement since he returned from a visit to Singapore.

That trip prompted speculation that the 88-year-old leader was seriously ill.

Zimbabwean Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai described as "repugnant" the theme of this year's celebrations - the "indigenisation" of businesses owned by white people.

The celebrations centred on Zimbabwe's National Stadium, and included a fly-past by four MiG air force jets.

Mr Mugabe made a 50-minute speech - shorter than in previous years.
