The Chinks aint real nice to domesticated pets, they do a stroller on them, although the chinks like to torture them first to get the full flavour, anyway here is a nice video of dogs and cats being tortured to death for fun and fine dining for the Chinky people.

Sorry, untrue. I lived in HK for almost twelve years, and spent a lot of time in southern China. I was quite appa'lled by the callousness, and sometimes wanton cruelty, with which animals for consumption were treated. Of course, southern China was much worse than HK.

I think it's getting better, or at least less bad. Many younger Chinese people (including my ex-wife) are as appalled as me by animal cruelty, and not scared to speak up about it.

Yes, there are some wicked Chinese "cooks." They are worse than their French counterparts, but only marginally. The worst Chinese are worse than the worst French, yes.

A chinese gf I had once told me she visited some relations up country in China.
They were SO happy to see her that they hung their pet Dog from a tree and beat it to death......'cos it made it taste better!

They eat the dogs in Thailand too. Actually Thailand is an exporter of dog meat to China and Vietnam. Saw the program on Thai television now the other night. Truck loads of them over the borders in crates (live). Chinese and Vietnamese love them.

DD, luckily I can't watch your video, but I think you'll find the people who keep domestic animals as pets & those who buy to eat them are two different groups of people.

A few months ago there were incidents of rabies in China. The official response of some provinces was to hire thugs with cudgels to go round & kill dogs. They caught dogs & owners on the streets & even dragged dogs out of their owners' homes. And beat them to death, often in front of their owners. One teenaged girl went directly to the roof of her building & jumped as a result.
I would say that pet lovers in China are as loving & caring as their counterparts in many other countries. Those that eat the animals? Well, that's another story

I couldn't watch the whole thing but just enough to confirm something that has bothered me for 40 some years since I was a lad in Glasgow, a Chinese restuarant we used to frequent was closed by the health deptartment for supposedly using cat in their chicken dishes..didn't believe it at the time but just chucked up my breakfast at the thought it is all bloody true...thanks DD go back to posting killings in Pataya

Sure,I don't have a problem with eating my national coat of arms,delicious in red wine or char grilled.I close my eyes to the fact that they farm emus and shoot and skin kangaroos when still alive.(can we have some recipies here Timber?)

I have a problem observing overladen trucks full of pigs in China in appalling conditions on their way to the slaughter house,or chickens,or sheep/goats for that matter.

I also have a problem going to the market with my helper and watching the live fish/chickens have their heads cut off.I'm immuned to it tough.Undo cruelty is not on but a quick easy death is fine,how I would like to go,and those bastard pigs gave us SARS and the chickens bird flu after all.

I also have a problem seeing the misfortunate people of this world being treated and killed like animals.

In Kunsan, S. Korea I watched Koreans pull leashed dogs heads' through a chain link fence and then choke them for about a minute till they stopped moving. They did about 10 dogs while I watched from a distance. Couldn't believe my eyes.

Having said that, I've eaten kay-goh-gi and it's not bad. Not good either.
