Yes, there's a labour shortage right now in the Lower mainland, unemployment is at record lows, and these are not illegal immigrants but guest workers and landed immigrants.

I've never been unemployed. If I lost my job I imagine I would go on Employment Insurance while looking for another one, but I've never been without work or on EI.
