is it that far fetched to assume that if she's under pressure again (and i'm sure being first lady is not a walk in the park), that she'll be back on the drugs?

she probably won't have an opportunity to steal them again, but every addict knows how to score, and do we want a doped up first lady representing the country?

Give it a rest rayfarey, the US doesn't want you as a citizen. All you ever do is wish death on American troops as it's your thought that it will shorten the iraq war. All you ever spout is anti American shit anyway. Why don't you just dry up and blow away? I must have been right when I said, "You must have been a military brat growing up and thus your hatred for anything connected to it".

    Speculation.

I wouldn't mind a First Lady strung out on opioids, it might draw attention to the inadequate narcotics legislation.
But then again, it might not.
Jerry Falwell's "hillbilly heroin" addiction did not cause Christian 'Conservatives' to examine their hypocritical moralist stance on the issue.

Personally,I have more of an issue with brain-damaged alcoholics who cannot string two complete sentences together getting into positions of power.

Teakdoor is fortunate in that we have a poster who frequently demonstrates the irreversible damage heavy alcohol abuse may cause through his comments.

is that all i ever do? i distinctly remember eating dinner about 30 minutes ago, but i could be wrong.

anyway, i did take something near this position a few years back (2004-2006) and I still stand by it. when hundreds of iraqis were dying everyday in the streets, i postulated that the only way the american public was going to demand a withdrawal of troops was for a massive attack that killed scores of US troops. something needed to wake up the american public who were still buying the bush/cheney line about "how iraq had turned a corner". i didn't relish the fact that US troops would be killed, but rather took the position that their lives were no more valuable than those of the average iraqi citizen...IOW, better for 60, 80 or 100 US troops to die in a spectacular attack if it would be the impetus for a US withdrawal that would lead to hundreds if not thousand of iraqis not getting blown to bits.

but once obama becomes president, he will bring an end to this fiasco and there will be an orderly withdrawal.....and the possibility exists for a true international coalition to help maintain some sense of order...but that's a tall order indeed after the damage the bush administration has done.

but what does this have to do with cindy mccain?

Oops, sorry, my bad, got mixed up there.

I should not paint the late Christian Right homophobic bigot with the same brush as the delusional addict wingnut who cannot distinguish fact and fiction.

Are you referring to the zapped "off with their heads" thread from last year (2007), where you advocated the beheading of US soldiers and contractors?

And it was a Mod that left - thank god - for posting on the thread, and then zapping it.

I am glad RDN is gone. Good riddance.

now, now stroller. please try to keep your facts straight. i never advocated anything of the kind for US soldiers. war profiteers (the PC word is 'contractors') are another matter altogether....IMO if anyone deserves a grisly end to their existence, it's them.

I take your word for it.
My memory let me down, it seems.
Anyway, that was 2007, not "a few years back".

I made it perfectly clear it wasn't me, but did not want to name the one responsible. I was hoping he'd own up and comment himself.

stroller, the 'few years back' was in reference to what eliminator brought up. i never posted anything about when the thread dealing with war profiteers was started or deleted.

See the other post, Ray. The thesis was new news coz Michelle put a block on her thesis until the day after the pres elections, remember?

You are going on a bit about something I have not commented on either way and haven't considered worthwhile of speculation.

I am sure she would devote some of her time to home decor and continue to take care of her kids, she would also be a great asset and support on the political front for Obama, as I already suggested.

    Happy now?

    Who cares?

I have always advocated shooting at the American soldiers. They are a bunch of arrogant, greedy, jerks. I have watched lots of video footage of them cheering at GWB speeches, that promote the Iraq war. It's all on youtube. I also have watched video footage of American soldiers "hooting and hollering" when they shot up a building. Idiots. If you want to see stupidity, watch the "Week in War," and listen to these guys. They are not only sick, but thick.

    The American Election:
On one side, you have a bitch, who is a lawyer, married to a lawyer, and a lawyer who is married to a bitch, who is a lawyer.
On the other side you have a true war hero married to a lady with a huge chest who owns a beer distributorship.

Heh rayfarey, were you a military BRAT? Is this why you hold so much hostility to the military? Come on BOY, let us know something about your upbringing. How many military bases did you live on growing up? I would be willing to bet he won't respond to this as it's most likely true.

Here are some more details on that horrible strung-out
junkie and stingy income-hiding CEO millionaire Cindy McCain.

PHOENIX, April 20 (UPI) -- Cindy McCain, wife of the presumptive Republican U.S. presidential nominee, is deeper than the glossy image she projects on the campaign trail, friends say.

She has a fearlessness befitting her war-hero husband, Arizona Sen. John McCain, The Arizona Republic reported Sunday.

The newspaper said the wealthy beer distributorship heiress has waded through minefields in Cambodia and slept in tents in Angola, among other things.

"The thing that differentiates Cindy, and why I think she will make an excellent first lady, is that she has this true connection with the under-served," said Vonnie Wray, development director at Operation Smile.

Wray has accompanied Cindy McCain on missions to Morocco, India and Vietnam, the newspaper said.
Friends say Cindy McCain's work ignored - UPI.com

Unfortunately, no one mentioned one of the most revealing stories about Cindy McCain. How in 1991, during a relief mission to Mother Teresa’s Bangladesh orphanage, the nun asked her to bring an infant girl to America to have her cleft palate corrected. Cindy did more than that: She adopted the baby, now their teen-age daughter, Bridget.
An appearance on The View, with all its girl–talk, may not sway many voters — a lot of the conversation was about Elisabeth’s daughter giving up her pacifier — but throughout Cindy McCain was low key, attractive, and appealing. And that can’t hurt with the millions of female viewers watching; it can only help.

anyone who knows anything about american politics and the media is aware of the agenda put forth by 'the ladies home journal'.

and as for UPI.....well that's run by everyone's favorite cult leader (well maybe not favorite anymore) the rev. sun myung moon. i always wait with baited breath to find out what the 'moonies' have to contribute to the discourse on american politics.

and christ, just look at the headline.....'friends say"...what do you expect her friends to say to a reporter...."well, we hope she doesn't get hooked on percocet and vicodin again"?

Here are some more damning facts about that damn lowlife barbie doll junkie recipe-stealing Cindy by those far right wing blogs the Chicago Tribune, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.

It should be a sin to have this much fun as little GayFairy is, as usual, resorting to typically cowardly personal attacks in response to these posts. And, I don't even support McCain unless Hilary wins the Dems.

She uses her energy and wealth to help causes such as land-mine removal and children's healthcare.

McCain's trip to Kosovo last month with Halo Trust, an international group that removes land mines from post-conflict countries, was a little more comfortable than her typical overseas trips. She has camped out in rural Angola, and was once left stranded when an overbearing African minister of education commandeered her charter plane. She has seen a boy get blown up by a mine in Kuwait.
Then there is her philanthropic work in some of the world's most miserable reaches. On her to-do list: a visit to Darfur to try to aid the refugees and bring attention to the genocide and rapes.

"It's not about being a cowboy," she said during a series of interviews over the course of her four-day trip to Kosovo. "It's just these types of things don't necessarily happen in Phoenix, Ariz., and you have to go where it is."
It was on a scuba diving vacation in Truk Lagoon in Micronesia that McCain got the bug to help people outside of her students. A friend was cut in an accident and had to go to the small island hospital. The McCains were given a tour while they waited.

"They opened the door to the OR, where the supplies were, and there were two cats and a whole bunch of rats climbing out of the sterile supplies," McCain recalled. "They had no X-ray machine . . . no beds. To me, it was devastating because it was a U.S. trust territory."

She went home and arranged for medical supplies and a hyperbaric chamber to be sent back.

Later, the hospital contacted her and said it needed an orthopedist to treat island children. She put together a medical team and returned to Truk, and that's how her relief missions began.

She also created a family trust and began looking for causes to help. "My dad left me the opportunity to do that, and I feel very lucky," said McCain, now chairman of the board of Hensley & Co. "I didn't do this. My dad did this."

According to IRS reports, the McCains give about $200,000 a year to their children's schools and to causes that include research on AIDS, heart disease, Parkinson's disease and Down syndrome.

In addition to Halo, McCain sits on the boards of Operation Smile, which arranges for plastic surgeons to fix cleft palates and other birth defects in children, and CARE, which fights global poverty and works to empower poor women. All three programs get money from the McCain family trust.
