    1) it was a simple idea, not requiring two sentences, and
    2) it had just happened; I thought someone might like to know.

Is that simple enough for you?

    Got all that?

Are they now. Since when? Are you using the Royal "We" again? Is this actually a rule on TD or just something you just made up? It's obviously the latter

Ok, from now on, if a candidate wins anything, "we" must post the results in at least two sentences just so no-one gets upset or confused...

    From the above:

A vote is a vote. Who cares. Princess Caroline.

Guiliani is tied for 3rd in FL, and it doesn't matter. I think Guiliani will sink after Feb. 5th, and Huckabee is out of money and staff have left, and some are working without pay.

GOP will be McCain vs. Romney for the Nom.

Sorry for my comment on the one-liners. Sheesh.

How could an endorsement from Ted Kennedy sink Obama in the Dem nomination process? If anything it's the exact opposite.

btw, ted kennedy doesn't have a home on chappaqquiddick and never has.

I have never understood why Ted Kennedy evokes so much attention to the so-called right. (I am not talking about CT, or any other poster, but the radio talk show hosts I hear when I visit the US.)

Ted Kennedy is one Senator out of 100.

He's not a senior statesman or representative of any movement: he's a senior Senator, that's all.

Chappaquidick was almost 40 years ago.

Ted, like Princess Caroline: who cares?

but symbols are important in politics. once upon a time, the kennedy brothers inspired people to hope for a brighter future.....the very same hope that obama is talking about today.

also ted kennedy has a large, nationwide following that is in part made up of women and latinos.....two demographics that obama needs to draw into his camp to defeat clinton.

No tongue in cheek here - real political clout:

Sen. Kennedy backs Obama for president

By DAVID ESPO, AP Special Correspondent 4 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - Two generations of Kennedys — the Democratic Party's best known political family — endorsed Barack Obama for president on Monday, with Sen. Edward M. Kennedy calling him a "man with extraordinary gifts of leadership and character," a worthy heir to his assassinated brother.
Kennedy's endorsement was ardently sought by all three of the remaining presidential contenders, and he delivered it at a pivotal time in the race. A liberal lion in his fifth decade in the Senate, the Massachusetts senator is in a position to help Obama court Hispanic voters as well as rank-and-file members of labor unions, two key elements of the Democratic Party.

I guess the Kennedy endorsement is important as they represent the traditional liberal vangaurd of the Dems. However Obama must be careful he doesn't overdo the JFK/MLK rolled-into-one thing.

I bet Bill has left a foul message on the Kennedy family answering machine! He's been bullying the party faithful of late, Hilary must be very careful how she uses him.

They've both come under severe criticism in the past few days for the shrillness of Bill's criticisms of Obama. I think Bill figures they owe him. However, he doesn't get it. Nobody wants that bitch of a wife in office. Hell, everybody would love to see him in office again, but that won't happen.

    i don't know, but i doubt it.

what i do know is that i've posted (repeatedly--and in direct response to your ham-fisted queries) that he probably should have left the senate immediately after pleading guilty.

i also know that he has been one of the most effective members of the senate over the last 30 years. regardless of whether or not one subscribes to his ideology, his effectiveness as a legislator is undeniable.

i also believe that you are stuck in the past----jane fonda, skylab, chappaquiddick, etc... and that's partly why you, and those who share your crass ideology, will never move forward.

I watched the State of the Union address on CNN this morning and as expected GWB did his usual non inspirational speech with nothing important to say. The interesting bits were when the camera would swing over to Hillary or Obama. Obama was seated next to Teddy and looked his usual somewhat smiling self. Hillary sat through the whole thing arms akimbo looking like she had just swallowed a lemon or a mouthful of Bill's cum. Caught off guard her true colors were shining through. A bitter, hard faced, cold, calculating, spoiled bitch that is finding herself on the unexpected brink of defeat.

Kennedy has been 'effective' as you say for one reason only - his name. Plus, he represents the liberal wing of the Democratic Party to which some misguided fools subscribe.

Those that ignore the past are doomed to repeat in future. Hanoi Jane, Jimmah & his Skylab are symbols of a failed ideology thus are trotted out from time to time in order to remind folks of their 'radioactivity'.

    Koom-bai-ya, anybody?

I'm liking Obama more and more as he tells the Clintons to: "Put it where the sun don't shine".

If he gets the nomination I think he'll win. But if it's between McCain and Billary my moneys on McCain.

Nothing Robotic about him. He's like the Mormon version of Mao. He'd have everybody wearing funny underwear, and giving the Mormon church 10% if elected.
