Sort out the economy.
Get out of Iraq, and tell the ROW to FO when it wants US military help.
FO new immigrants who don't wanna be American.

^Yup, you got it, and you're a lot closer than I am to the action. Good call.

^yeah, but I'm only semi, kinda retired.![]()
1. an expeditious withdrawal of US forces from iraq
2. the economy/subprime related foreclosure
3. guaranteeing health care for all americans

^I do like the healthcare issue Ray, I side with you on that. Call me a pinko capitalist pig.

I was gonna put healthcare in there, but I said three and I thought the other issues were more important. Is Hillary still backpeddling on healthcare?
I just want to add another Michael Moore bashing point re Sicko and how wonderful he says Canada's healthcare system is. I took my Sis to emergency at about 3:30 pm on Saturday (terminal cancer). Waited in the corridor till about 11pm -- she did get a stretcher - and then into emergency, where we waited longer as only one doc on duty. I left about 6am, Sis and BIL sent home an hour or so later. They did do many tests and the doc was great (he knew and cared more than the fekin oncologist). People were screaming and left there in pain and the admissions nurses were Ratchets. I was gobsmacked. I never waited that long in Thailand! People here think hospitals and docs care; what a load of fekin crock.

^What a joke Moore is. He touted Cuba, Canada and UK. Most of my friends in the UK never go to NHS. Cuba is a total joke, and well, you've just told us about Canada.
Still, there has to be something better.
1.) Will the USA continue as world policeman and engage in endless wars of empire?
2.) Will the medical-industrial complex continue to bleed the country dry with its stranglehold on health care policy?
3.) Will economic policies continue to make the super-rich richer and drive even more of the middle class into poverty?
Sadly, none of the leading presidential candidates has forcefully addressed any of these issues. John Edwards and Ron Paul, in their different ways, have at least addressed some of these concerns, but neither is considered a front-runner at this point.
Clinton for President,
The end of War on Terror,
USD rebound,
More than 3 as we know, but:
Health Care: - 47+ million uninsured. Most work full-time. Over 50% of bankruptcies are because of medical bills.
Social Security: taxes on this have to be raised. Something needs to be done such as means testing and raising eligibility age of boomers, now. This will not happen.
Cut Spending: (Including military). This won't happen as a whole. Too many special interests.
Will there be any real changes with the next Administration? Only cosmetically.
............
Good choices, but I'm not sure about increasing taxes on Social Security. Problem is that Social Security is being used to pay for America's growing disabled population. A crackhead mom breeds 3 emotionally disabled children and all four get 'crazy checks' under Social Security disability law. It's not that the disabled should be ignored. But to leave this burden with Social Security is regressive and off the backs of working people. In most of those countries where the government cares for the disabled, the funds (rightfully) come from collected income/excise/corporate taxes and from those most able to pay.

Political Pulse | The Associated Press-Yahoo! News Poll on Yahoo! NewsBy JIM KUHNHENN and TREVOR TOMPSON, Associated Press Writers WASHINGTON (AP) — Voters began to worry more about their pocketbooks over the last month — even more than about the war in Iraq.
More than half the voters in an ongoing survey for The Associated Press and Yahoo! News now say the economy and health care are extremely important to them personally. They fear they will face unexpected medical expenses, their homes will lose value or mortgage and credit card payments will overwhelm them.
Health care for all Americans? - sorry and all that but it's just a party slogan for gullible voters, much like No Child Left Behind.

But Americans are supposed to pay tax when working overseas, no? Canada has tax treaties with many countries, but I got no bennies when I can back here. Did my tax return in August, and the little green men are trying to figure out what I did for 23 years. Fekin losers. So, that means my healthcare is also on hold until they decide. Not that I'd get any real healthcare anyway. Between the shabby service I saw afforded my Sis and my ex, I'll probably pay and go to the States if I get sick.
^
Whilst overseas Americans pay no tax on the first $ 80,000 of earned income, so most pay no taxes and many claim refunds of withholding tax.
^Not this American. I pay tax on my first and last dollar earned while living here. I also paid $1,500 in additional tax last April.
Three main issues:
1. Gender
2. Color
3. Religious affliction
