    Stop talking bollocks.

The First amendment protects free speech unless it is "directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action and is likely to incite or produce such action" (Brandenberg vs Ohio 1969).

Students on visas are protected by the first amendment and are entitled to due process.

You have to be a prize fucking idiot not to see what will happen when you start letting narcissists like the orange turd decide what he considers shouldn't be free speech and letting him ignore the constitution.

The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
    Then they came for me
And there was no one left
    To speak out for me

The reports I read only said that he protested verbally against the Israeli actions in Gaza, in support of the Palestinian people. If the reports were accurate, then he was exercising his right to freedom of speech granted by the constitution.
Being against the killing of 50,000 Palestinians is a humanitarian issue. Many jews take that position. It is not being anti-semitic to criticise the actions of the Israeli government and it is not supporting Hamas.
Actually providing material or financial support for a terrorist organisation would be a criminal offence. That would be a matter of facts, the evidence would need to be tested in court.

I am sure that our African American brothers and sisters will be delighted to know that, in an anti-woke campain we will revert to calling them ni**ers, after all, that was the moniker used for a couple of hundred years in the US.

I don't think calling an Inuit an Eskimo is similar to calling a black person a nigger*.

I did not google any of the history around it but VocalNeal advises that Inuit are just one type of Eskimo.

I think it would behove the left-wing language police if they dialled down their obsession with political sensitivity around words.

It is just one part of what makes them come across as priggish and pointlessly censorious.

*It is OK to type the word 'nigger' if you are discussing it rather than using it as in insult. The word does not possess magic talismanic destructive powers. The terror of merely writing the word is one of the symptoms of the current hysteria around the BLM political bogeyman of racism. The problem of racism in the west is a microscopic fraction today of what it once was, but the smaller it gets the more debate time it seems to consume.

As well as the 200+ “gang members” they rounded up and shipped of to rot in a max prison in El Salvador.

The constitution, due process, and the rule of law, apparently don’t mean much under the rule of Orange Julius Caesar.

I think there is a useful distinction to be made between 'using' a word and 'discussing' a word.

    We don't know.

    That's the problem.

And when asked by a judge to provide documentation, the WH has basically told him to fuck off.

First of all, I think the word you’re looking for is Salvadoran. Secondly, many of them are Venezuelan, and have never even been to El Salvador.
Lastly, it doesn’t fucking matter if they were legal, or not. The right to due process, under the Constitution, covers everyone on US soil. Doesn’t matter what your immigration status is.

Are you saying that people suspected of being either from el salvador or venezuela were arrested without ANY checks on their passports, ID cards or immigration status and summarily deported.

Even in trumps america i find that hard to believe.

beachbound, you are one of many blinkered lefties who, even if trump negotiated peace in the ukraine and the middle east, found a cure for cancer, opened the borders to every grifter in the world and then donatex both his kidneys to an african orphan with HIV, you would still be full of spittle flecked hatred.

No, I just prefer to live in reality. Anyone who thinks that Donald Trump is capable of a selfless act is an idiot. He’s incapable of empathy. A conman, nothing more, and this is all a grift. He made $2.4 billion off his first term, and he has every intention of doubling that, this time around. That’s why he filled his cabinet with flunkies, and yes-men.

hes a politician, what do you expect. at least his vices are out in the open and visible to anyone with half a brain. better than the virtue signalling leftie hypocrites whose vices are hidden in the faux concern they exude as nauseam.

they are all the same, they just wear different suits.

You might want to rethink that statement.

Trump claimed they were Venezuelan gangsters and deported them to El Salvador. A judge wanted proof of that, as some were considered to not be involved in gangs and he was using the enemy aliens act to do it. What is it with you and Looper and your problem with the rule of law? If it applies to everybody, it applies to you.

Left wingers have elevated the 'rights of the individual' to almost religious levels of sanctification in recent decades.

There are other axes of moral justice that should be considered when applying the law.

One of those is the good of the community. Community tends to figure more strongly in conservative political opinion.

The vast majority of the community are happy to see the backs of what are almost certainly the lowest of the low when it comes to dangerous criminals who are not even entitled to be in the US in the first place.
