You've got to be the stupidest ignorant motherfucker on earth to be against the annexation of Greenland just because Trump is in charge. Greenland isn't party politics, its US strategy.

Totally agree Hal but think of it from their point of view and possibly from the point of view that a world controlled by someone such as Xi is an unknown reality in which we never want to find ourselves in.

The reality is that people are being taken off the streets in the US and sent to detention camps for having a different opinion.

Is this the kind of world you want to find yourself in?

Hal you can't take one example of something and stain an entire agenda because of it. There are far worse repercussions for people who go against the state in places like China, Iran, North Korea and to an extent Russia.

They are bracketed the same these days, pal.

In 2 months Trump has destroyed the US. Russia played the waiting game and put a stooge in charge of their arch enemy to serve Russian interests.

    Russia 10 - 0 US

Yea, well, I haven't seen much concrete evidence to suggest that. It was an unnecessary war started by a controlled idiot. Many many many young men on both sides have paid for that with their lives. Russia is not our enemy. China is our enemy.

What is the context behind this, Hal, and who is the student?

There have been detentions of students who came to the US to study but then organised public demonstrations supporting the terrorist organisation Hamas. Their visas will apparently be revoked. Seems reasonable to me.

What part of "innocent until proven guilty" do you not understand? They haven't even been charged with a crime. Protesting against Israel does not always equate to supporting Hamas. The Jews just have more lobbyists.

The First Ammendment applies to everybody, regardless of citizenship. Fact. If Trump wants to change that, then he has to go through the other two branches of government to do so.

When you start taking away free speech from people because you don't like what they say, you might as well forget the concept of free speech.

    This seems to escape you.

Because with Russia, China will always be cornered. Russia can never be a democracy, there is too much land and too much difference. The alternative are many regions in Eastern Russia that may easily come under the influence of Beijing. I don't think China is trying to conquer the world, not like the Nazis or Japan anyway. However, they are no ally we can ever trust and therefore one must always consider them an enemy.

Guests such as international students who support terrorist organizations should have their permission to stay in US revoked and should be deported. US law will permit that and vigorous action should be taken by the US government. It's intolerable having guests in the US who are a security risk. Biden failed on this front.

US law does permit that. But first it has to be proven in a court of law with evidence, and not just grabbing people off the street without charge, at the behest of a Zionist who got their feelings hurt.

Unsurprisingly, there are quite a lot of people in the far right who appear to have an extremely tenuous understanding of what constitutes basic human rights and freedom of speech.

I think it occurs on both sides of the spectrum in this age of divisiveness. The right just happen to have the power in the US at the moment. The left might have more regard for human rights, but they're guilty of shutting down free speech as well.

The left are guilty of not recognising genuine concerns and addressing them, which the far right have exploited.

That still doesn't excuse what we are seeing at the moment and for you to accue the left of shutting down free speech is ridiculous.

No, it doesn't. They don't realise distorting the rule of law can happen to them too, once the gate is opened.
