Who cares about you? What about the Chinese? Where do you think they want to live if they have a choice. You seem to think all the Chinese who come to America are cashed up. Let me tell you they are not. They come in illegally, many over the border with the Central Americans. They hold menial jobs.

Hell, I just read the Chinese illegals surpassed the Mexicans three years ago.

I rather doubt that. Reconcile the fact that +90% of Chinese citizens approve of their government, and think their nation is heading in the right direction- with your fantastic allegations. Actually, it is a bit irreconcilable.

The fact that chinkies are told what to think and are jailed if they criticise the government seems to have escaped you.

"Do you approve of the government"
    "Er..... yes?"

Being an old traveling sales fella I have lived in lots of countries.
Specific to the thread title, Santa Rosa CA, Shanghai and Taipei.
Personally, of the 3, I would rather live in CA.
Of the Chinese I know, they are quite happy living in China. Must admit, all where upper middle class business folks.
There ya go. Just my experience for what it's worth.

Sure, real great if you got the wads right? Personally I prefer the Big Island. If you got the wads.

What about those that do not? That is what I am on about.

I had to do it. It is from a source you can trust.

I lived in China for four years, and also lived in the US briefly. I'd say a lot of Chinese people living in China, don't know any difference, and if they do, they know they don't have a hope left in hell to change the system. They grew up trying to be obedient to the government and they continue to live that way. You can tell a lot about the different Chinese people when talking to them in regards to whether they have lived or travelled abroad for any length of time. The ones that have are more open and critical of their government and are the ones that may leave again if they can.

I would gladly live in China however, if circumstances so determined (highly unlikely).

The question is like comparing apples to oranges in a way.... many Chinese lead a great life as there is a huge middle, upper class now.
Many people hate the US now because of all the mass shootings. I personally having lived in both, would not want to move back to either of them for my own reasons.

Many Chinese that have money want to travel and also can afford and want to send their kids to schools in the US and Canada.

Now this is what puzzles me.

Those two handfuls of TD posters, who feud with Sabang over China, for the most part have settled in a country, that is world record holder in millitary coups and dictatorships.

Furthermore some of these posters have spent their years working for other dictatorships, who compared to China are somewhat medieval.

They should be galvanized when it comes to human rights

I reckon that if you don't count the spitting pushy chinese populace, you would, with closed eyes and ears and a pocket full of money, be able to lead a comparable life to one in Thailand.

Might not be able to employ gardener, cleaning lady and being the king of the village, but I'm sure that there would be some young ladies, who could be 'sugar daddied'.

    Nah; it's about politics, isn't it ?

    PS:
I forgot to mention that I'm not a fan of chinese food either

Ask yourself that, sybill . . . if you actually commented on a topic instead of just spewing your attempted barbs.

Ah, I'll let them answer for themselves, but they can still criticise Thailand while living in Thailand. Living in China does not allow for that

I'd rather live in China than the USA in my situation (fixed amount of money), and I have never once said that I would like to live in Russia. It is obvious to everyone who is trying to change the goalposts, unsuccessfully.

That's because you're a cretinous scandihooligan twat who hasn't realised no-one defends authoritarians or totalitarians on here, regardless of where they live, except you witless wanketeers who are always praising chinkystan but would never live there.

Honestly, a fucking nine year old could work that out.

No it's the plain and simple truth- I would rather live in China than the USA in my situation. Seeing as, unlike you, I have been to the place many times when I lived in HK with my Chinese wife, it is abundantly apparent who the childish little bullshit artist is.

Did you go to mainland China a lot when you were in HK?
I know that HK was, and maybe partly still is so different than mainland China. I spent some time there way back in 2015 and wish I had more time to see more sights.
I was also there at the time where they had the very first peaceful protests on the streets in Kowloon.

Mainland China was a shock to the senses when I moved there from Seoul.

I learned quite a bit in my four years there... but I would not go back. The pollution was horrid at the time I was there . It wasn't long after I left that they jailed the two Canadian men and then Covid hit. They are dying for teachers there now as they are just opening up.

There is such a huge divide between the rich and poor in mainland China as I was saying in my few posts on this thread.
I believe some Chinese don't know any different from what they live as they haven't been out of China. Then you get the middle/upper class that basically are spoiled rotten and get to travel and live the high life.

    Just my two cents.
