Half a million homeless people in the USA out of 350 million people. We constantly air that dirty laundry and look for solutions. China had 2,579,000 at last count and they hide their social problems.

Don’t be stupid, helge. Food stamps are part of what raises the standard of living for poor people.
Ofcourse it does
So does that mean that folks who are at 129% below the poverty line gets 'fuck all' ?Who gets food stamps in the US?
Under federal rules, to be eligible for benefits a household's income and resources must meet three tests: Gross monthly income — that is, household income before any of the program's deductions are applied — generally must be at or below 130 percent of the poverty line
Yippie aya yay
How many people are on food stamps in US?
41,500,000 participants in the United States, or 13% of the total population (1 in 8)25. apr. 2022
Now would you like to comment on your post; the one that dragged me to comment.

I do not know what you are trying to say, helge.
Here it is in plain english :Your statement didn't speak of who was better off from the two countries' poor people.even the poorest Americans live better than most Chinese
You stated that most chinese have worse living than the poorest americans.
That sounds ...ridicoulous to me, so I asked you to back it up
And no, Hal; no mention of where people would prefer to live.
I wouldn't live in China if I was paid for it, but I guess if the choice was between a middle class life in China and a tent site somewhere, surrounded by homeless people, I wouldn't choose the US.
Would you ?
Your average poor American does not live in a tent city. They live in federally subsidized housing or own their own home. Homeless people living in tents has more to do with lack of mental health care and drug addiction than lack of money. You and sabang are just being obtuse.
Ofcourse they don't
You haven't got so many tents
^This is the number of the ones 130 % under the poverty line.41,500,000 participants in the United States, or 13% of the total population
How many poor have you got ?
People living on the poverty line or slightly above can't be doing that great either for fucks sake.
"The average poor" ?
Still, we were on about the poorest, not the slightly poor or the average poor.
I think you are wrong until you give me proof, and I think that you stink at 'probability math' (don't know english term)
Ok. How about this, helge. You can read the rest of it here. How Poor, Really, Are America’s Poor? | The Heritage Foundation
According to the government’s own data, the average American family or single person, identified as poor by the Census Bureau, lives in an air-conditioned, centrally heated house or apartment that is in good repair and not overcrowded. They have a car or truck. (Indeed, 43% of poor families own two or more cars.)
The home has at least one widescreen TV connected to cable, satellite, or a streaming service, a computer or tablet with internet connection, and a smartphone. (Some 82% of poor families have one or more smartphones.)
By their own report, the average poor family had enough food to eat throughout the prior year. No family member went hungry for even a single day due to a lack of money for food.
They have health insurance (either public or private) and were able to get all “necessary medical care and prescription medication” when needed.
Compare to middle class Chinese.
Sabang chooses to live in Australia, (the west). He would live in China, so he says, but he has the choice, and he has decided that Australia (the west) is a better option.
He obviously doesn’t ignore the reality of Chinese propoganda, despite his posts to the contrary!
The reason I would prefer China over the USA, as an early retiree, is quite simple and already stated- money, or more accurately what a fixed amount of money buys you. I'm not going to enter this "better life" debate- because it is entirely subjective, and also heavily influenced by your financial and work situation. I like Asia, and that includes China. Of the western countries, I much prefer Australia- and as a citizen, I enjoy many benefits. So I'm fine.
If you want to get a perspective on life in China, ask an expat who lives there. Isn't that simple? There are literally hundreds of 'Lifestyle vloggers' in Thailand, Australia and so on- Americans in particular seem to be fascinated by the differences between the states and oz. Yet if you show some normal bloke actually enjoying their life in China, it is met by the usual scepticism by the sinophobes. I wonder how many have even been there? M'ehhh.
Fooked if I'm eating Chinese bat burgers.
USA any day of the week
Would you eat a soup made from cows placenta/ afterbirth in Mai Arse? I have done so in Isaan. Yummy too- but I'm relieved I didn't know what it was until after the event. Point being, you don't have to enjoy eating everything the locals eat to enjoy living there. How do you get on with Isaan pla dek? didn't think so.
Deflection, obfuscation and the usual bullshit. Just like you'd happily go live in Russia . . . yet you don't.
Stop the crap, sabang. You know you'd never live in either and would prefer the US to preserve your standard of living, be able to communicate as you're an Anglo and can't speak another language, eat and drink what you're accustomed to . . . and here one: Speak freely and openly about any topic you wish.
