I see there are more online allegations that one of King Charles' daughter-in-laws was a yacht girl. It's extraordinary that one of his sons should marry an American hooker. The litigious daughter-in-law and her husband have never sued anyone about these allegations. I suppose the Windsors have a long history of frolicking with, ahem, women of dubious repute.

King Charles Makes Surprise Appearance at SXSW London

King Charles made a surprise appearance at SXSW London on Thursday in a big show of support for the festival’s inaugural edition in the city.

Upon entering the festival grounds in Shoreditch, the King was greeted with a performance by the Kingdom Choir before being met by U.K. Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan and SXSW London organizers. He then viewed Damian Roach’s immersive art installation “Grounding,” which uses AI and data to create landscape images that are continuously changing, and discussed it with the artist.

King Charles also met with Julian Lennon, Mo Brings Plenty, Jean-Paul Martinez and Volker Türk, the UN high commissioner for human rights, after their panel on their new animated series “Love the Earth.” He then visited another one of SXSW London’s venues, Christ Church Spitalfields, to view the Caribbean art exhibition “Beautiful Collisions” and attended a reception with artists, local residents, SXSW London speakers and the festival’s advisory council and staff.

“In the inaugural year of South by South West London we are honored to welcome His Majesty the King to Shoreditch,” SXSW London CEO Max Alexander said in a statement. “The festival is a profound acknowledgment of the strength of the United Kingdom’s broad cultural and business landscape, its artists and entrepreneurs and the importance of breaking down the silos that separate those domains.”

SXSW London is in its fourth day of programming, with highlights so far including panels on “A Minecraft Movie,” “Downton Abbey” and “Industry,” speakers like Idris Elba and ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus and the premiere of “Deep Cover” starring Orlando Bloom and Bryce Dallas Howard.

King Charles Is "Livid" and "Devastated" That a Controversial Boxing Day Tradition Might Be Canceled

King Charles is reportedly upset that one of his favorite Christmas traditions might be coming to an end. The Royal Family famously spends the holiday season at Sandringham, which recently encountered a security threat on account of unidentified drones. Even though Charles's relatives are likely returning to Sandringham for Christmas in 2025, one important tradition might be canceled, for good.

According to The Sun, King Charles has been "livid" as the Sandringham Boxing Day hunt might be called off, as "his royal estate is running out of pheasants to shoot." As reported by the outlet, "a series of blunders" occurred, which "left the game bird numbers dwindling at Sandringham."

A source with knowledge of the situation reportedly told the outlet, "No birds, no bang, just red faces...The King wasn't having it." Elaborating on the seriousness of the situation, The Sun explained, "[Charles] even faces calling off his annual Boxing Day shoot—and a long-serving gamekeeper at the Norfolk estate has been [fired]."

The Royal Family's history of hunting is well documented. It has long been speculated that Prince George will go hunting with his father, Prince William, as a rite of passage.

Meanwhile, Kate Middleton reportedly "put her foot down" when it came to her kids—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis— taking part in the Royal Family's "blooding" tradition.

Prince Harry wrote about the gruesome tradition in his memoir Spare, sharing his experience of being taken hunting in Balmoral when he turned 15. In his visceral account, Harry alleged that his hunting guide took the "blooding" tradition too far, and pushed the young royal's head inside an animal carcass.

"I was shocked by his insane strength," Harry wrote in Spare, via Hello! magazine. "And by the infernal smell. My breakfast jumped up from my stomach."

As for why the Royal Family continues to partake in their annual Boxing Day hunt, The Sun wrote, "The occasion is seen as a rare chance for family bonding, despite protests from animal rights campaigners who particularly dislike children taking part."

The dancing in the hospital video is being described by many as twerking. It's all over Youtube: search Megan Markle twerking in YouTube and over a dozen results come up. Markle posted it, I think, on her Instagram. She's really trashed her already poor reputation.

King Charles praised for 'faultless' firing technique at Larkhill

King Charles III has been praised for his "faultless" firing technique after using an artillery gun during a visit to the home of the Royal Artillery.

The King, wearing the number four tropical dress uniform, accepted an invitation to fire a L118 light gun while at the headquarters of the Royal Regiment of Artillery at Larkhill, near Salisbury, in Wiltshire.

He looked delighted and Sgt Neil Mitchell, of 14 Regt, 34 Battery, joked: "I was going to ask him if he could start on Monday."

The King was met with a 21-gun salute for his first visit to the site since assuming the title of Captain General in 2022.

Apparently it was a TikTok craze back around 2021. She's now just added fuel to the speculation that she was wearing a Moonbump. It's very important as I understand her children need to have come from her womb to be in the line of succession. I think she faked her pregnancies. This is a horrible deception and the British media have avoided trying to hold the Markles to account.

Trooping the Colour: King Charles III marks official birthday with military parade - live updates - BBC News

This will be a Trooping the Colour with a very different feel to last year, when there was feverish interest in the return to public life for Catherine, the Princess of Wales.

Trooping the Colour in 2024 had been her first public appearance of the year after her cancer diagnosis, and it was a moment that seemed full of uncertainty.

Catherine is now in remission and when she appears today the attention on her health will be much less intense.

King Charles is still receiving cancer treatment and will travel in a carriage, as he did last year, rather than riding on horseback.

But he seems to be well enough for a full diary of engagements and is recently back from what seemed to have been a very successful trip to Canada, where he showed support for a country feeling under pressure from US President Trump.

The vid looks as if it's from the nineteenth century around the time cyrille's dad was a young lad. I think Mr. Trump will be able to do better.

King Charles III, Prince William share sweet Father's Day tributes

The British royal family is honoring generations of fathers this Father’s Day.

To mark the occasion on Sunday, the official X account for Prince William and Princess Kate shared heartwarming photos of the Prince of Wales with their three children -- Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

In one image, William is seen standing with his arms around the kids, smiling as they huddle close. Another touching black-and-white photo shows the foursome lying on the grass, laughing together in a candid embrace.

“Happy Father’s Day, Papa (before and after!) We love you! G, C & L ,” the caption of the post reads.

Meanwhile, the official X account for King Charles III and Queen Camilla also marked the holiday with a pair of nostalgic photos.

The first is a black-and-white image of a young Charles and his sister, Princess Anne, being pushed on a wooden swing by their father, Prince Philip. The second shows Camilla with her father, Bruce Shand, on her wedding day to Charles in 2005.

“To all Dads everywhere, we wish you a happy Father’s Day today,” the caption of the post read.

The royal tributes came just a day after members of the family -- including Prince William, Princess Kate and their three children -- joined King Charles and Queen Camilla at Buckingham Palace for Trooping the Colour.

The annual military parade, which marks the monarch’s official birthday, took place on Saturday, June 14. This year’s event was the third Trooping the Colour for King Charles since his ascension.

Though his actual birthday falls on November 14, the celebration traditionally takes place in June.

In addition to members of the royal family, more than 1,300 parading soldiers and 300 musicians participated in the military parade, according to the British Army.

King Charles and Queen Camilla arrive in style for grand royal reunion at Royal Ascot

King Charles and Queen Camilla marked the opening day of Royal Ascot with a grand Royal gathering. The duo led the Royal procession, making a stylish entrance in a carriage.

They were accompanied by Prince Faisal bin Salman Al Saud and Lady Sarah Keswick, one of the Queen's closest confidants. The Royal couple greeted eager racegoers with waves and smiles. Charles was dressed in a grey suit, complemented by a powder blue waistcoat and baby pink tie.

He also sported a black top hat, adhering to the event's formal dress code, which he tipped as he passed the crowd. Camilla opted for a light grey coat dress and a matching hat adorned with feathers.

Their Royal carriage, drawn by horses, circled the racetrack before entering the Royal suite, reports the Mirror.

Following their carriage ride, the King and Queen mingled with other Royal attendees - including Zara and Mike Tindall and Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi - before heading inside for the day's first race. The Royal pair were later spotted engrossed in the racing action from the stand.

Also partaking in today's procession in the second carriage were Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Wellington, and Mrs Annabel Elliot, Queen Camilla's sister. In the third carriage, Peter Phillips - Princess Anne's son - was accompanied by his girlfriend Harriet Sperling.

Charles and Camilla, both avid enthusiasts of horse racing, are expected to grace each day of the esteemed five-day Royal Ascot event in Berkshire. In the words penned for the official programme, both the King and Queen conveyed their sentiments: "Having experienced the thrill of victory at Royal Ascot ourselves in 2023, we can only wish all those competing this week the very best of luck and that everyone watching has a most enjoyable five days."

In addition to a personal fondness for racing, Charles embraces a key ceremonial role at Royal Ascot as the reigning monarch, a duty he eagerly anticipates.

A confidant relayed to The Sun: "Camilla has been passionate about horse racing for many years but the King has surprised himself by how much he enjoys it. It is an opportunity to catch up with guests and show support for the horse racing industry."

The Royal duo will be cheering on their entry, Reaching High, trained by Willie Mullins, in the Ascot Stakes, vying for victory against other elite racehorses.

When considering the horse’s recent close call at Ireland's Leopardstown racecourse, Mullins shared his hopes: "I've been very happy since his first run, he did everything nicely at Leopardstown and if he could run a similar type of race at Ascot I would be very pleased."

Queen Elizabeth II, an avid equestrian enthusiast, bred thoroughbreds and celebrated over 20 Royal Ascot victories during her remarkable 70-year reign. Following in her footsteps, Charles and Camilla have inherited her stable and notched their first Royal Ascot success in 2023 when Desert Hero clinched the King George V Stakes.

Royal Ascot's legacy originates from the early 18th century when Queen Anne identified East Cote as a prime spot for a racecourse, remarking on its suitability for "horses to gallop at full stretch" during a ride.

The inaugural Her Majesty's Plate, open to any horse more than six years of age, took place on 11th August 1711, heralding the start of what would become the illustrious Royal Ascot.

Midwinter's Day: King sends message to Antarctic scientists

King Charles has recorded a warm personal message to researchers in Antarctica celebrating a frozen Midwinter's Day - the first time a monarch has given the annual broadcast.

Marking the BBC Antarctic Midwinter Broadcast's 70th anniversary, which sends a morale-raising message to remote research stations in the depths of their winter, the King praised the work of scientists tracking climate change.

"Each observation, measurement and calculation you undertake adds to the world's understanding of the Earth's fragile systems," the King said.

Alex Rootes, who leads the UK's Rothera research base, said it was an honour to be recognised for their work "at the cutting edge of science in a really difficult part of the world".

While much of the UK swelters in the summer heat, Antarctica is celebrating an icy Midwinter's Day without any sun and with driving snow.

"With the sun shying away from your horizon today, I particularly wanted to send my warmest good wishes," said the King, who praises the researchers' "critically important work".

The King, a longstanding environmental campaigner, spoke of his appreciation for the scientists' "resilience and commitment" as they tracked changes in the ice in Antarctica, examining the "role humanity plays, as we struggle to live in harmony with nature".

The broadcast from the BBC World Service is part of the traditional Midwinter celebrations for scientists at these isolated bases.

Previous contributions have included a message from Sir David Attenborough, a quirky song from Bill Bailey - "There's rock and roll at the South Pole" - and a comedy sketch from the cast of W1A, which claims "they're actually moving a glacier from one place to another".

King Charles is the first monarch to be part of this annual broadcast - with a message praising the British Antarctic Survey, which he said was "more vital than ever, telling us stories of the past, the present and possible futures".

The British Antarctic Survey has described Antarctica as a "barometer of environmental change", as its researchers extract and analyse ice cores to see changes in climate over hundreds of thousands of years.

Mr Rootes is one of 41 researchers at Rothera who will be listening to the broadcast in Antarctica - a location so remote that it's a thousand miles to the nearest hospital. Also in this very bespoke audience have been researchers at bases in Bird Island and South Georgia.

Mr Rootes told the BBC it was currently warmer than usual in Antarctica, at -2C, but that it can be tough to cope without any daylight, which makes it even more important to have a community celebration for Midwinter.

"At this time of year when the darkness has really closed in, it's very easy psychologically for people to withdraw into themselves," he said.

"It's a really vital part of our mental health provision that people have something like this, which people really look forward to."

The traditions for Midwinter Day are something similar to having Christmas in June, including giving presents, a big dinner and watching the same film each year.

The seasonal favourite is The Thing, a 1980s sci-fi horror film about a group of scientists in Antarctica under threat from an unknown presence. Mr Rootes says it's now part of the ritual of the day.

This is the southern winter solstice, the shortest day in their location, more than 1,000 miles south of the southern tip of South America.

This year, there are plans at the Rothera base for a 10km (6.2 miles) fun run, if the conditions allow. It's one way of chilling out.

The annual BBC broadcast becomes a connection with home, with messages sent by the researchers' families and selections of their favourite music.

But Mr Rootes said the King's message will be an important endorsement of their work, as they measure changes in marine life and the ice linked to climate change.

"It's lovely to feel like we have the King talking to us and recognising us in this remote community," he said.

Royal Ascot | Day five of the Royal Procession sees the King & Queen joined by Sir Mark Prescott

How King Charles Cemented the Importance of Royal Ascot

The message is clear: Royal Ascot is as much of a priority for King Charles as it was for Queen Elizabeth.

When Queen Elizabeth died in 2022, some of the most personal and heartfelt tributes came from the horse racing community. She was described as racing’s “best friend and greatest patron,” an extraordinary figurehead" whose loss would be felt “most deeply indeed.”

The late Queen’s association with horse racing was an integral part of her identity, and in turn she became a crucial player in how the sport was recognized and discussed across her 70 years on the throne. Central to this were her annual appearances at Royal Ascot, which she famously never missed right up until the final months of her life. Images of the Queen cheering her horses on from the royal box, presenting trophies in the parade ring or emerging in a carriage after people had betted on the color of her hat are some of the most iconic of her reign.

With all this in mind, it is understandable, that the question was raised over whether things might look quite different when Royal Ascot came around during King Charles’s reign. As Prince of Wales, he did not attend every day, nor was he as strongly associated in people’s minds with all things equestrian as his mother or indeed his sister Princess Anne.

Yet over the course of the three Royal Ascot race meetings since the start of his reign and his inheritance of his mother’s racehorses, King Charles has demonstrated fulsome enthusiasm for championing the annual event. In 2023, he was there every day of the five-day meeting. In 2024, despite having not long returned to duties following his cancer diagnosis, he attended all but one of the days. And this year, he has been present every day. The message is clear: Royal Ascot is as important to this monarch as it was to his predecessor.

“The supposition in the early days of Charles III’s reign that he didn’t share his late mother’s passion for the ‘Sport of Kings’ was clearly wide of the mark,” Majesty Magazine’s Managing Editor, Joe Little, tells T&C. “His 100% attendance at this year’s Royal Ascot and his occasional visits to other UK courses, often with Queen Camilla, is proof indeed that he has caught the racing bug.” Indeed, The Sun newspaper quoted a source this week saying that King Charles “has surprised himself” by how much he enjoys horse racing.

However, the King’s embrace of Royal Ascot is also perhaps a recognition that the event, and the monarch’s presence at it, is about more than just the racing itself. The rhythm of the royal year is permeated by the sovereign’s visibility at certain occasions, and for decades Royal Ascot has been one such moment. It is true that not every monarch has championed Ascot since it was founded by Queen Anne in 1711 (Queen Victoria did not attend after Prince Albert’s death). But since the summer race meeting officially became a royal week in 1911, the monarch’s association and presence has been strong.

As we have seen this week, Royal Ascot also offers the opportunity for a unique type of diplomacy. Saudi Arabia’s Prince Faisal bin Khalid Al-Saud and Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Saud attended day one and day two of Royal Ascot respectively, sitting in the first carriage for the procession alongside the King and Queen. In previous years, royals from other countries including Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway, have done the same.

“It was the late Queen’s favorite event and it’s the current Queen’s favorite event but I’ve never particularly seen horse racing as something that King Charles is especially fond of,” says royal journalist Emily Andrews. “But it’s been really heartening to see his commitment to what is such an important fixture in the social calendar and an industry that brings in billions of pounds for the UK annually.”

This year, Charles’s charity The King’s Foundation announced a military partnership with Royal Ascot. The Duchess of Gloucester wore a hat created by one of the foundation’s millinery students Barnaby Horn on day two of the event.

King Charles is the 13th monarch to patronize Royal Ascot. Last year, it was announced that he and Queen Camilla would follow in Queen Elizabeth’s footsteps and became joint patrons of the Jockey Club, which owns a further 15 racecourses in the UK. Following a review that left a number of charities without a royal patron, the decision was noted as commitment to the racing community.

With hindsight, perhaps no one should have ever been in any doubt that this would be the case. Queen Camilla was the Duchess of Cornwall when she spoke to ITV Racing in 2021. “I hope it will continue,” she said about royal support for horse racing. “Royal patronage of racing is extremely important, for the whole industry.”
