TAx, you are being played by your Brexit loving rhetoricians in the Mail and Telegraph and swallowing their claptrap like a baby suckling milk.

The west was only too happy in fighting a war against Saddam in Kuwait but not because he was an evil shit fucking over a bunch of other camel jockeys but because he was a threat to oil interests.

Ukraine has no strategic value but it is a sign of things to come and the West needs to pace its reaction as the plot unfolds.

It's the first Act in a new drama, Tax, and there is no Deus ex Machina about to end it now, and believe me kicking Russia out of the Swift system is not going to alter the current trajectory of Russian neo-imperialism one jot and is certainly not the Deus ex Machina you seem to think it is. Its demand now by BoJo the Clown is simply a gesture costing him nothing designed to show him as a leader standing out in a production that is going nowhere, only a fucking idiot would lap it up. You that fucking idiot Tax?

No, when the civilian body count rises and the UKR government is killed or imprisoned in some death camp and the capitulation of Ukraine is complete then there must be a summit between the NATO countries in tandem with the UN to agree the total isolation of Russia from the West. And that means the end of all diplomatic ties, the end of all trade and the exclusion of all Russian interaction with the West by denying any and all access to its people, its goods and its investment.

The reality Tax to which you seem oblivious is the fact that half the world are governed by third world uncivilised greedy tossrs who are simply not interested and will suck Russian cock as long as there is money in it for them. You think India, Thailand et al are going to sanction Putin?

The road is long Tax, your erstwhile preoccupation with Paki shaggers, Arabs and Islamists while neglecting the real threat has ensured it will be difficult.

Putin and his generals want the empire back and to dominate Europe through nuclear blackmail and the de-stabilisation of the EU. BoJo and the Brexitory loons have given him a head start in his strategy.

Nato is now strengthening its presence and it must now re-establish armed forces including men and materiel in all the frontier states including Germany and the Baltic countries.

The Kyoto, Paris, Edinburgh climate protocols and the move away from nuclear power has inevitably led to reliance on Russian gas for power. That is a fact and if it affects people's lives then its only right they consider the outcome. If the average Brexit English twat was told that the Swift boycott would lead to power bills of £4,000 pr annum and the cancellation of their holidays to fucking Grotos then they'd forget Ukraine quicker than the time it would take to get a new tattoo.

Putin is on track to flex the old USSR's muscles and we are heading back to 1963.

BoJo's babbling is just piss in the wind.

The West has just been woken up to the new world this morning and its back to the Cold War......if we are lucky.

Burt what is truly funny is that Redneck Trumpanzees and Brexitory fuckwits are blaming Biden and the EU for this invasion. Truly, we are in The Age of The Stupid.

Our defence bill has just been doubled and Britain will now have to double its fighter and helicopter strength.

Just remember Tax, just three hydrogen bombs detonating over London, B'Ham and Manchester would effectively destroy the UK and its socio-economic fabric terminally. It would cease to exist as a state with any linkage to its history.

That is the future we are now looking at Tax and will continue to be so while Putin lives.

Cancelling his fucking cheques ain't going to matter a flying fuck you silly old tyke.

All roads lead back to Brexit for you don't they Sausages. Most EU countries have eschewed their NATO responsibilities for years and taken it for granted that it and the US will be there for them, well this is their wake up call. You can keep rambling about Boris and Brexit all you like but your much lauded Block needs to live up to its own image of itself.

How many times do you Brexit sclerotics have to be told, the EU is not a fucking single government entity, you dribbling old rightwing dotard, it is a socio-economic association comprising 27 sovereign states with their own fucking governments.

Each one will decide what it wants. Just like Britain, the country that has acted as bank repository and laundromat for £billions of oligarch Putin crony capital that has also funded the Tory party over the past two decades.

    You fatuous old Tory hack.

you make some valid points s.a., not of course regarding my opinions, but about the overall situation, but squeezing the russian economy from the start will be a catalyst for an increase in home grown discontent and protest and it is that more than the up until now mostly empty rhetoric from nato, eu and the which is likely to bring an end to putins power. the cannon fodder that make up putins army are not behind this attack on what are their own brothers, and neither are a good proportion of the public.

the change will come from within, and an economic squeeze could hasten that.

Brexitory fuckwits are blaming Biden and the EU for this invasion. Truly, we are in The Age of The Stupid.
wasnt it biden who said that a minor incursion by the russians would be acceptable and would not result in a response?

sounds to me like one of many green light handed to the russians, as does the eus increasing dependence on russian gas over the past 10 years thanks to their getting into bed with the greens and falling for gretas doomsday predictions. the eu, including britain, by their stupidity, greed and misplaced trust over the past couple of decades have indeed empowered putin to pull off this dangerous powergrab. ....... and now it is up to the west to stop it.

and thank fuck for that, otherwise we would have had corbyn and flabbot welcoming the russians into westminster.

your lengthy incarceration in pattaya and now in bangkoks thanon tittywank seem to have clouded your ability to think straight. whilst you might be handy with a thesaurus, you have a very deluded view of the world.

62% of US thinks Putin WOULDN'T have invaded Ukraine under Trump

Close to two thirds of Americans believe that Russian President Vladimir Putin would not have invaded Ukraine if Trump were still president, according to a new survey released Friday.

A recent Harvard Center for American Political Studies-Harris Poll survey revealed that 62 percent of those Americans polled felt that Putin would not be launching an offense against Ukraine if Trump, rather than incumbent President Joe Biden, was still in office.

Broken down, 39 percent of Democrats and 85 percent of Republicans believe that Trump would have made Putin think twice about launching the war.

Meanwhile, 59 percent of Americans said it was Biden's perceived weakness that had prompted Putin to launch the bold attack in the first place, The Hill reported of the survey.

However, a total of 38 percent of Americans, regardless of political affiliation, believed that Putin would have invaded Ukraine regardless of who was president.

Another 41 percent said that the person sitting in office did not play not a factor in Putin's decision to invade Ukraine.

Tax, you fail to understand the reality within Russia that exists now. I have lived with a group of Russians who spend time here in their condos, the majority of whom do not like Putin or his domination of their daily lives in Russia. Those that speak English fluently, one in particular, a visiting professor of linguistics staying with a chum in our condo, tell me over a pleasant afternoon by the pool of the economic life that exists there. It is really quite grim, average incomes for the middle classes, teachers, civil servants etc are only sufficient to pay for a subsistence lifestyle in preserving basic standards - the 2014 imposition of sanctions for the invasion of the Crimea saw an overnight devaluation of the ruble by 50%, that has fallen by another 10% since last week. The point is, the growing resentment against Putin is palpable and felt by millions but in the past eight years his grip on total power has only strengthened.
There is no focal point channelling any likely organised challenge to his power - his corruption and crony capital funded regime has secured the loyalty of the entire Russian high command and security services, and has bought the Duma.
Economic sanctions will not foster indigenous rebellion.
Russia and the West are back where we were before Gorbachev, and Putin will only be defeated by death or bankruptcy and the latter will only come after total isolation from Western trade and investment coinciding with a radical fall in commodity prices.
We are in for the long haul and it will take another global recession plunging oil back to 30$-40$ a barrel before that time comes.

Had to laugh about you wittering on about Corbyn et al welcoming Putin scum to UK. The Tories introduced the investor visa in 1994 but then turbo-charged it in 2011 after which time over 700 Russian oligarchs and their henchmen have established residence in the UK laundering over £3 billions in stolen funds and wormed themselves into every level of our social order..

Tax, you are a typical layman, a product of his generation and deluded by misconceptions, prejudice, ignorance and the undying belief the English are not mostly fucking idiots.
Putin is laughing at Britain and you Brexit boys, the money and influence invested in Banks paid dividends in manipulating Brexit. And like all dumb smucks, you never knew you were played.

And, bless you, you still don't.

I have just learned why the Putin pig made Macron sit at the other end of an absurdly long table when they met last week and why he makes his "advisors" remain at least 50 feet distant while in conference. I thought he was simply establishing some sort of superiority over others but it turns out the crazy little shit is scared shitless of catching Covid. He's on so many drugs his immune system is compromised and he fears death if he gets infected. The skanky little prick has been a fucking killer and psycho bully all his life yet he's no more than a gutless coward who has gone batshit crazy in his isolation over the past two years.

Unless some Russkie general gets a grip this is going to get real bad.

The Americans have to get involved and up the stakes.

And there it is. And no doubt that fucking orange moron also considered the annexation of the Sudetenland by Hitler was similarly starred with genius.

Vis-a-vis Biden's alleged weakness precipitating global instability??? Perhaps it's time to remind the usual suspects, and poor old Tax clearly fighting the onset of his Alzheimers, that the evacuation of Afghanistan had already been ordered and planned by the pentagon under the express direction of Trump.

Putin's economy is now destined for impoverishment on a national scale. GDP growth has been whittled away since 2014 and now faces a return to pre-perestroika days. When the bodies pile up and the average Russkie, already earning a pitiful monthly salary of $600, sees his disposable income fall further the chickens will be roosting in no time.

The EU'S actions to date, an extensive catalogue of sanctions putting the Brexitory rabble to shame, is merely the overture to total economic isolation.

Russia is in effect a third world economy entirely dependent on the sale of natural resources to sustain it. The tyrannous taxi driving thug Putin has turned the clock back and is now looking at the third world markets to save him. It's a capitalist world and he's going to suffer as indeed will the commie chinks if they piss off the US too much. The US controls the world's economy and that is the reality.

The thing is, military action by NATO is impossible until the invasion spills over into Poland and the Baltic states. Putin is fucked but the armchair warriors rattling their sabres and venting splenetic bombast from the foothills of British journalism, and rightwing American fruit loops, seem to think that in their simplistic little world Putin can only win.

    Russia is fucked.
Seems my assessment was spot on.

    Russia is indeed fucked.

And, typically, the EU, despite having to synthesize the views of 27 sovereign states, are proving to be far better in organizing and implementing sanctions and relief programmes than Brokendownbrexitbritain.

Quite shameful the way the Gujurati Queen Patel is fucking over UKR refugees.

Still, she is being loyal to the Brexit trash that voted her in.

Oh, I forgot to mention my prescient post was over a week ago. Not bad even for me, my forecast came true in a week.

poor Tax, a myopic tub thumping right wing Brexit loon gets it wrong again.

and instead of shouting about sanctions against oligarchs and their banks that will hardly have any effect on russia, the west should have been educating and recruiting super nerds perfecting ways of targeting their economy and infrastructure via cyberattacks instead of self flagellating themselves with diversity advisers, mental health consultants, workplace white privilege courses, lgbt awareness seminars, unconscious bias awareness days and all the other bullshit and the one sided global warming promises that liberal western governments seems to be obsessed with these days and serve only to weaken us in the eyes of others.

and all because one worthless american criminal was unlawfully killed by a cop.
I rather think that it is worth reposting this reply to my earlier post that Russia was fucked and the US/EU would destroy its economy.

Currently the ruble is worth 30 satang and it’s interest rate is 20%.

I also said China would not help if it’s interests were compromised and as we saw on the UN vote they abstained leaving Russia marginalized.

Poor Tax, following the drivel trumpeted by his Daily Telegraph pundits talking out of their arses does leave him behind the curve somewhat.

    bless.

Indeed, but when contrasted with the EU response, practically freedom of movement within 27 countries and the right to work for three years in the first instance, her mean minded, nasty, vindictive, anally retentive, parochial nationalism has yet again been demonstrated whenever she feels the Brexit insularity aimed against foreigners is threatened.
She is quite stupid too. I engaged her in a correspondence over seven years ago and concluded then she was a fucking idiot. Happily, I made that view apparent.

The demented cvunt actually thinks that the poor huddled UKR masses permitted entry would conceal an army of Spetsnaz Putin thugs. Sometimes, you think this Brexitory rabble government couldn’t get any worse and then yet another fuckwit comes along blowing more shite out of their arse.

You previously complained that sanctions wouldn’t work and that the response from Europe was tardy. Not your exact words, but you have changed your tune suddenly.

Dont deny it because I can’t be the only one who has noticed you moving the goal posts. Your fancy language can’t change that, and your previous posts will form evidence.
