Biden awards posthumous Medal of Honor to two Civil War heroes
2 Union soldiers awarded Medal of Honor for Confederate train raid
President Biden on Wednesday awarded the Medal of Honor for conspicuous gallantry to two Union soldiers who stole a locomotive deep in Confederate territory during the Civil War and drove it north for 87 miles as they destroyed railroad tracks and telegraph lines.
U.S. Army Pvts. Philip G. Shadrach and George D. Wilson were captured by Confederates and executed by hanging. Biden recognized their courage 162 years later with the country's highest military decoration, calling the operation they joined “one of the most dangerous missions of the entire Civil War.”
“Every soldier who joined that mission was awarded the Medal of Honor except for two. Two soldiers who died because of that operation and never received this recognition," Biden said. “Today, we right that wrong.”
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
Biden needs to stop thinking about himself and start thinking about America. The last thing America needs is President Trump. That is a strong possibility if Biden remains head of the Democrats.
Step down Biden, while you're still ahead. No one wants to be remembered as a bumbling old fool.

Governors after Biden meeting: We have his back
A small group of Democratic governors affirmed their support for President Biden following a White House meeting with the president on Wednesday amid growing Democratic calls for him to drop out of the race.
“The feedback was, we are all looking for the path to win. All the governors agree with that, president Biden agreed with that,” said Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, speaking outside of the White House with New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and Maryland Gov. Wes Moore.
Walz noted that Biden has had the governor’s backs through the coronavirus pandemic and “the governors have his back.”
“A path to victory in November is the number one priority and that’s the number one priority of the president,” he continued.
Walz responded “yes” when asked by a reporter if Biden is fit for office, acknowledging that Thursday’s debate was a “bad performance.”
Biden’s reelection campaign said after the meeting that all the participants in it, which was over 20 governors both in-person and virtually, “reiterated their shared commitment” to helping Biden win in 2024.
The campaign said that the meeting with governors was to “discuss their continued partnership” in the campaign and that the president “sought the advice and expertise” of the governors about beating former President Trump in November.
And, the campaign said that “the meeting also focused on the importance of electing Democrats up and down the ballot to deliver more Democratic governors and more Democratic majorities in Congress and statehouses across the country.”
Ordered tickets for the next inauguration, Landy ?

Getting old sucks but that is Joes' reality. He needs to do what is best for the country and step down. The Dems need to find someone who can defeat Trump, otherwise it will be a disaster for America and a lot of the world. Those in the background secretly(and not so secretly) praying for Americas downfall, will rue the day China takes the lead. One only has to look at Chinas' poor diplomatic skills to see that it is unready for any type of world leadership as it behaves like a petulant child.
The USA was a todler in charge of the china shop when it was prematurely catapulted into its position by two world wars. While making many mistakes on the way, it is now starting to behave more as a world power should, all be it far from perfectly. All nations operate with their own interests paramount and the USA will continue to do so but at least it is finally learning not to shoot from the hip. Now if they could only fix their electoral system, it would not only benefit them but also the world.
Shh…he’s going to Wisconsin today.

WATCH LIVE: Biden holds campaign rally in Wisconsin
The event is scheduled to begin at 2:15 p.m. ET.
Biden’s reelection campaign is pushing ahead with aggressive plans despite the uncertainty. It plans to pair his in-person events with a fresh $50 million ad campaign this month meant to capitalize on high viewership moments like the Summer Olympics that begin in Paris on July 26.
Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, first lady Jill Biden and second gentleman Doug Emhoff are scheduled to travel to every battleground state this month, while organizers are planning to knock on more than 3 million doors in July and August to do personal outreach to voters in a new $17 million effort.
Sorry Spambreth, but Biden will be gone within the week.

Biden beats back critics at Wisconsin rally: ‘I’m running and going to win again’
In his first major rally since calls for him to drop out reached a fever pitch, President Biden fought back against his critics Friday, forcefully declaring that he is staying in the 2024 race despite calls for him to step aside.
Biden gave his clearest indication yet that he is hearing the calls for him to drop out of the 2024 race.
“What’s Joe going to do? Is he going to stay in the race? Is he going to drop out? What’s he going to do?” Biden told a crowd at a campaign rally in Madison, Wis.
“Well, here’s my answer: I’m running and going to win again,” the president proclaimed.
