It is brought to my attention when I walk down the street & harrassed by little chilren begging, when I use a cashpoint & trip over some dude with his hand out, when people are being laid-off or contracts cancelled because the going rate for a job's halved, I see the problems, first-hand, every day & it's all over - all - the newspapers because it's the topic on everybody's mind - if you're the one being affected by them.
There was an announcement in work not to walk through a certain part of the town centre at night any more if you're on the late shift. They are doing this on the back of some of the softer side of the workforce being mugged at knifepoint by Romanians. I know who they are because they are who I buy my weed from. There are genuine concerns by good, genuine people who aren't what you guys sterotypically call racist - or judged because we read a certain newspaper (that is discrimination & exactly what you're telling me not to do).
Forget throwing the Mail around, a very small portion of my knowledge comes from the newspaper, but a lot of interesting theads do.but what do you consider should be done to solve the problem? The Daily Mail doesn't offer solutions to the fear and loathing it stirs up does it? So what do you think should be done?
As for what to do about all this mess? Shut the door, hang a No Vancies sign in the window, draw the curtains & wind down the Benefits Agency.
