I agree they had no reason for an initial retaliation, if one assumes they did. Two illegally exterminated soldiers allegedly in Baghdad, as boasted by an unexceptional regime.

As for the new military base attacks, it's yet to be proven/admitted by the two main beligerents as either, a blue on blue or otherwise.
