“The Future of Aging”
A ten minute you tube circa ‘18 – and a reasonable depiction of what is starting to become a norm. Although the video depicts the USA it does carry across borders.
Where are we “civilization” heading as populations age, birth rates decline, middle class jobs disappear, robotics is/are removing lower paying jobs…
20 year plus life expectancies
Declining birth rates
By 2050 the 65+ population will double to 1.6 Billion
Projected that 40% of future retirees income will be below the poverty level
Since 1991 bankruptcies by over 55’s increased five-fold (500%)
Now, the video does't make any "predictions" that's up to the viewers. It does raise a most problematic discourse on what's coming down the pipe - and quite quickly. Gotta brace ourselves cause the world, as we now know it, is about to change.
So what are your predictions and thoughts…
How is/are “we” humankind going to handle the aging population?
And, how will civilization handle the changing economy?
Are you gonna be better or worse off in ten years? how 'bout twenty?
