    Also Norway reducing in NATO?

(Wondering why I cannot find about this in a "recognized" MSM?)

Norway realized that there is no Russian threat and makes an unpleasant surprise for NATO

Unexpected news came from Norway. The government of this country decided to close the main military air base, where about 70 fighters are deployed. After learning about this news, the NATO leadership expressed its dissatisfaction on this issue.

The Norwegian leadership decided to make a major stake in the development of the civilian sector of the economy and stop spending big money in the military sector. That is why it was decided to close the air base, and not its place to build a new civil airport. It is worth noting that this airbase is of strategic importance, and its closure was not even prevented by US stories about the growing Russian threat.

The NATO leadership is seriously puzzled by the fact that it will soon lose a fairly good air base in the north of Norway, as this undermines all work on the "conquest of the Arctic."

At this airbase is now six divisions of fighters. In addition, not far from this base is the airfield, which takes NATO allies (will also be closed). It is worth noting that the North Atlantic Alliance has always placed particular emphasis on strengthening the north of Norway. But in spite of this, the Norwegian government independently made such a decision, which caused anger at NATO.

By such an act, Norway openly made it clear that the interests of their country are of paramount importance. This country does not intend to be led by the United States. In addition, military cooperation with the United States for Norway is not so positive. An example is the purchase of the Oslo American F-35 fighter jets, whose price unexpectedly increased by about $ 2 billion from the original price at the request of the American side.

Another 0.5 billion Oslo lost dollars during the Trident -2018 military exercise, when an American tanker crashed into their frigate. After such a collision, the frigate received serious damage, and will no longer be able to go to sea. Thus, it can be done that for Norway more cooperation with the United States brings more damage than the far-fetched Russian threat.
