^ A loan, and one that's been a nice little earner for the treasury. The UK wasn't the only EU country to help out at the time.

Hardly a bail-out, more of an investment...

You gormless little runt, 'Arry, the loan from the UK to Ireland was over £3 billion, on schedule to be repaid March this year which includes a total of £600 million interest already paid to date.

The loan was made to protect British taxpayers' interests given the Royal Bank of Scotland, taken into public ownership, lent Irish banks over £56 billions.

So, yet again the Irish are paying for greasy Brits extricating them from the consequences of their fucking greed.

The Irish should have told them to fuck off and rewrite the loan excluding interest payments.

Still, the day of reckoning is approaching and when the UK disintegrates, we'll piss on you.

All i have to say is bring back Microns Mrs knicker sniffer, his master Frost has been kicked back out of the security role in favour of making sure the Wehrmacht and surrender monkeys don't get too carried away.

You and the rest of your grubby mendicant ilk won't be pissing on anyone, because even the squareheads and frogs will tire of your incessant scrounging.

As I said, that was the tip of the iceberg. Another reason not to elect scabby labour governments, they are always good at spending other peoples money on wasteful causes.

British taxpayers provided Ireland with a 'back-door' bailout of more than €16.5bn through their capitalisation of the Royal Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Banking Group, it can be revealed.

Accounts for the banks' Irish subsidiaries, Ulster Bank and Bank of Scotland (Ireland), show that one pound of every four injected by British taxpayers into the two banks ended up in the Irish economy.

Between 2009 and 2011, RBS made "capital contributions" totalling €9.13bn to Ulster Bank Ireland, while Lloyds transferred €6.41bn to Bank of Scotland (Ireland), before dissolving the business.

London analysts have estimated that RBS transferred another €2.3bn last year.

RBS and Lloyds used the funds to write off billions of euro of debt loaned to Irish commercial property developers and households in the Celtic Tiger boom years.

After the onset of the crash in 2008, Ireland ultimately fell into a €85bn bailout which included £7bn from Britain.

Together with the bank bailouts, the UK taxpayer has propped up the Irish economy with at least €23bn, which will renew pressure on Britain's Labour Party about how it handled the bailouts in 2008-2009. After the bubble burst, Ireland's banks brought the country to its knees and forced the government into a €67.5bn international rescue, including £7bn from London.

Meh. Neo-cameralism isn't that extreme. To be fair, all developed countries are suffering the same afflictions as the US and UK. Its just more extreme in the US and UK. Some neo cameralism is just what the doctor ordered. This Blairist neo Trotskyism has run its course.

Justin Trudaeu basically thinks the same thing about China's neo cameralist system

The Liberal leader was asked which nation he admired most. He responded: "There's a level of admiration I actually have for China. Their basic dictatorship is actually allowing them to turn their economy around on a dime."

'arry, you stupid, gormless fuck, which bit of ' RBS lent £53 billions to Irish banks' did you not understand?

The Brit taxpayer was fucked by the Brit banks in tandem with the Irish banks and the cause of it all, by the Americans.

Seems the Independent didn't see the bigger picture either. You sure your grandmother wasn't covered by a Pikey?

^^We have an unexpected North American idiot loose is aisle 3, can the skanky whore clean up team come and run interference until the white coats with the thick comfy blunt clothing get here.

Put him in with Deeks, isolation without communication is cruel. You never know Deeks might teach the idiot economics, if not he'll at least get to see what descended balls look like.

If it's any consolation, I have a layabout brother who married an Irish bint years go and has managed to avoid work and sponge off the state for decades by being a stay-at-home father and simply impregnating the woman every time she intimates that it's time he got a job.

I rather think with all this COVID malarkey the Brexit failure is getting ignored but in the past week we had the official line on the subject from no less than the Foreign Secretary himself, Raab C ( where is Dover? ) Brexit. It seems those wee teething problems ( the re-erection of trade barriers not seen for 48 years, by HMRC officials under the direction of Gove and the ERG fanatics, with 27 countries and 450 million consumers a mere 22 miles distant ) and the bumps in the economic road ( annual loss of £60 billions to GDP ) are not as transient as Bozo would have had the Brexit morons believe. No sireee, those sunny uplands and prancing unicorns will have to wait a while yet, not one year, not five, but a whole decade.

That's right, there will be no tangible benefit to Brexit for at least another fucking ten years. And what will happen then? Yep, our new relationship with the world, Peru, Papua New Guinea, Thailand, Angola, Belize etc., will ensure that by 2031 Engerlandia will rule the planet trading its riches for power and glory as leader of the new global economic order flying its banner, a heraldic motif of those long awaited unicorns prancing on sun dappled uplands.

What a sordid little bunch of trashy no-hopers they truly are.

NI back in flames and Scotland independent. It's a cert.

Yeah of course there wouldn't be any other reason for BREXITers wanting discussion closed down, rather than just effing off to post on another thread.

Like all the dumb 'We're going to get a great deal' grandstanding being shown up as complete bs that they swallowed whole.

    I don't think it's over...in fact, it's only just begun.

I have an interview with German immigration in 2 weeks in which I find out what hoops I have to go through to stay resident. A lot depends on how the UK are dealing with EU citizens in the UK.

Meanwhile, we're two months into this Brexit fiasco and many small businesses are on the brink of disaster. It won't be getting any better, the Government just want to bury it for ten years and then say they were just doing what the public wanted...

It is simpler than so Harry, you just piss off from this thread, eh..

You don't need to get annoyed over what's written here about Brexit and you are not the one to tell what should or shouldn't be written.
It is as easy as pretend that the thread does not exist and then you don't visit it.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Perhaps I should start my third thread on the topic:

"Brexit: It's finished. Get over it".

And of course as one so often finds among the brutish, lumpen lower end, our Brexit moron dislikes intensely having his nose rubbed in the crap that was dumped on him when he stupidly swallowed all that propaganda spewed out by the Tory/Kippr right wing charlatans.

Your fishing industry is decimated, SMEs are folding their tents by the hundreds and the financial heart of Brexitania is skipping beats as trades and dealings re-focus on European markets.

Blighty is fucked, NI will be back to war and Scotland will be that perennial stone in the Engerlandian shoe.

It's just beginning 'Arry, but you remember all that shite from Farage about Britain can't sustain anymore migration blah, blah? Well, I just hope you like your Chinks, you've got 3 million coming your way.

You just couldn't fucking write it.

excellent. 1000% times better than the worthless afro/raghead/rumanian/pikey shite that has been washing up on our shores for the past decades.

the hong kongers are self reliant, they work, they educate their kids, don't sell out to the identity politics and victim culture of the left, nor are you likely to hear them cry "help me! where's me counsellor, i've got mental health issues cos they're all laughin' at me beard since i self identified as a bird" , and for the most part they manage to stay out of jail.

You are just so fucking naive.

That number of Fujian/Cantonese flooding in will ensure the UK will host the largest Triad Chink gangster community outside, well, Hong Kong, the EU, and the US. They suck the blood of the chink community, run brothels, enforce extortion rackets and will now compete with the Turks, Albanians, Scousers and Pakis in importing heroin. And will our finest Mr.Plod prevent any of this or the corruption and money laundering that ensues? Will he fuck. And fucking thousands pf them have mainland Chink families who will use these refugees as leverage to gain entry in circumstances rhat would never have arisen otherwise.

You really are a little Englander, aren't you Tax, with your little notions how a nice chickenheaded,, slant-eyed yellow bellied rice gobbling git is much, much more acceptable and superior to Jamaicans, Ghanaians etc.

I truly do hope the EU lose patience and fuck Engrlandia right over.

what utter shite, fomented in the toxic twisted mind of a hate filled, self loathing, disappointed, disheartened and disillusioned pensioned off ex civil servant, frustratingly marooned for goodness knows how much longer in a whore infested dystopian tumbleweed town and spewed out of your putrid maw in a tsunami of rancorous bitterness, malevolent hostility and childish regret.

for some strange reason, your pikey sympathies maybe, the uk's withdrawal from the eu has re-ignited in you your all encompassing hatred of all things british, even to the extent of refusing a life saving covid jab if it were the vaccine developed with english expertise.

why the democratic decision of a sovereign nation to seek independence from the stifling franco german hegemony of the eu should anger you to such an extent is a mystery, although i do understand that had it not been for the eu and their advice, money and sympathy, the republic of ireland would still be an underdeveloped backwater populated by scruffy toothless drunken oafs unable to free themselves from their heritage of wretchedness, ignorance and squalor.
