As on the rare occasion you do attempt to make a post on topic as opposed to about a poster you just show yourself up for the thick clueless twat that you are.

UKIP are finished as previously said they should dissolve and vanish. Prediction UKIP will get 0 MEP at the Euro elections.

Strange isn't it the Tories will lose 800 seats and still win the election.

Is the winner not the party who wins the most councillors? Or do you have some alternative way of deciding who has one?

This is presumably the sort of laser-like insight you think you provide.

There are nearly 9,000 seats being contested.

It isn't 'strange' at all, you clueless dickhead.

WTF are you talking about now, numerous people have told you what a tedious boring twat you are or words to that effect. Every insult directed your way is fully deserved as it is in response to your tedious never ending sniping.

And again you made no point, just a few lines of drivel in a feeble attempt to try and make an on topic post but you still failed.

Unlike a GE, there is no outright winner in a LE.

However, if you want to go down that road for the lols ..the Tories were the biggest losers on -789.

So the party who wins the most councillors isn't the winner then? Are you adopting Simple Sybil logic here?

The clear message will come in 3 weeks in the Euro elections which will probably be the biggest turnout they've ever had, as both remainers and leavers will be out in force, providing of course they go ahead as looking more and more likely Doris and Corbyn are going to strike a deal.

The Brexit Party held its first Welsh rally in Newport as it leads the polls for the European election - and more than 2,000 people turned out

On April 14, a new political party launched in the UK.

It still has no manifesto and no policies, except to make Brexit happen.

But yet 75,000 people have all paid £25 each to be a signed up supporter and 16 days after that launch, 2,000 people packed into a hall in Newport to hear from its leader, and four of their candidates for a European election that may not even happen.

Whatever The Brexit Party has been doing since it was registered in February has worked.

Latest polling suggests that if the election happens on May 23, it will come out top in the UK.

The rally in Newport on Tuesday night was a sell-out.

More than 2,000 people were at Neon, a converted cinema, in the city, which voted in 2016 to leave by 55.9%.

Their branding is slick, their rally well executed.

This wasn't like party conferences, there was noise, excitement, and the number of selfies and pictures should show the regard supporters hold their candidates in.

For those who couldn't make it, the feed from the party was produced live.

People had arrived early, the queue starting by 5pm and people waiting down the street.

I'm surprised there isn't a remain party in its on right.
So a landslide victory for Brexit beckons with the other parties splitting the vote.
The result will send a strong clear message that Brexit is required and a massive fvck off to the con/lab for their shambles and delaying tactics
Unfortunately the EU election results won't make anything happen, but it will be a nice practice run for the next General Election. .

Interesting article from the Spectator . ..

For once, Nigel Farage does not need to exaggerate the failure of the governing elite — which is why his Brexit party went from launching to leading in the polls in less than a week. It remains top of the European parliament polls with an ever-strengthening lead. MPs look on, stunned, not sure what to make of this, where it will stop or what it will mean. No one knows whether the voters defecting to the Brexit party will ever come back.
Perhaps most remarkable is the way in which Farage has outstripped (and outclassed) the pro-Remain parties. Before this campaign started, many thought it would turn into a contest between the two ends of the Brexit debate, leaving the established parties stuck in the middle. But Change UK, the pro-second referendum vehicle set up by Chuka Umunna and fronted by Heidi Allen, appears to be in meltdown. It can’t agree on its logo or its name (calling itself ‘Change UK — The Independent Group’) and some of its activists have written in complaining about a basic lack of campaigning materials. The party lacks Farage’s knowledge of how to gain traction as an insurgent force.

More remarkably, it is also a less professional outfit. It is Change UK, not the Brexit party, that has had to drop candidates because of statements they have made on social media. The uncertainty over its name and leader seems to reflect similar confusion over its aims, policies and direction. The success of its February launch is a distant memory now. Back then, it looked like Change UK might block Corbyn’s path to No. 10. But it now seems to be a danger only to itself.

here lies the problem, the REMAINERS don't defend their cause, says nothing in case they upset their constituents, so they keep silent and node at everything BREXIT and yet they want to remain. Typical British 2 face MO, not going right, not going left, just undecided and sitting on the fence.

At least NIGEL has a plan and an opinion, and strongly defend his ideas, no matter how wrong they are, he takes a position

the rest are just cowards, not saying what they really want, hence the hang parliament for a Brexit vote

Local elections: Conservatives lose more than 1,300 councillors
    https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-48142181

The Conservatives have lost 1,334 councillors, with Theresa May saying voters wanted the main parties to "get on" with Brexit.

Labour also lost 82 seats in the English local elections, in which it had been expected to make gains.

But the strongly pro-EU Lib Dems gained 703 seats, with leader Sir Vince Cable calling every vote received "a vote for stopping Brexit".

The Greens and independents also made gains, as UKIP lost seats.
