UK to lose at least 13,000 finance jobs over Brexit, EY says
The relocation of financial institutions after Brexit will result in multiple UK job losses but the precise figure cannot yet be quantified. Based on announcements made by banks and other entities, the EY Brexit Tracker estimates that at least 13,000 jobs will go, but an EY official warned that "we have to assume that across the whole financial services industry and broader ecosystem the impact would be much greater."

I believe from the various reports concerned about the financial sector that there are around 50,000 EU citizens currently employed in the banking industry in London alone. Pissing them about, and any partners/family they may acquire, after 2019 and making them jump through hoops as if they were coons settling in the UK sponsored by Brits, three separate applications over five years to gain ILR, language hurdles, NHS levies and a bureaucracy that is as inept as it is obdurate, all of which would have to be repeated if one remained abroad on another posting for two years, isn't exactly conducive to recruitment.
Anything that helps a house price crash in the SE I'm all for. Just a shame none of this remoaner predicted bad news is actually reality thus Essexboy can't return home.
So, you're still struggling to understand that predictions about the clusterfuck that will entail when BREXIT happens aren't actually applicable yet, then.
If we crash out with no deal then there is a good chance that the EU will have no trust in us- if we can't negotiate a exit strategy without threatening people then a good trade deal seems unlikely. There is still no solid plan from Maybot- very little in the way of trade deals to make up for the deficit. Guess she will just sell a load of national assets. There again, rather her in power than that Mogg cvnt or Bozo.
those predictions were all political hype, and projections of the future, doesn't mean they will not happen, but were used as illustrations for the average Brit retard to understand in concrete terms what would happen if he voted yes
a counter measure to the oversimplification by the other side, which predictions also didn't and will not happen, and were just political rhetoric for the average chav to vote yes
in defense to Brexit, from the beginning of joining the EU, there has been a strong resistance by UK politicians to cooperate with the EC
maybe the 1972 referendum was weak and didn't fully reflect the real sentiment of the Brits over joining a supranational organization like the EC
with their strong islander culture, and predatory trade techniques, it was an impossible marriage
we should rejoice about Brexit, not moan about it
They were predictions orchestrated by project fear that thankfully the British public saw through. Cameron, Osborne and even the Bank of England to name a few were all quite clear as to what would happen straight after a vote to leave. In many cases the opposite has happened thus leaving them and many others with zero credibility.
The Remainers rhetoric was as ridiculous and desperate as the Brexiters, so really it was foolish for anyone to make a voting decision solely on what those fools were saying,
even if the British were mislead on both sides, Brexit is still a good thing for everyone, above all the EU
the nasty UK will be isolated
and the EU can become bigger and better without the UK liability damaging every effort for progress and integration
Only trouble with your further integration plans is that the people don't want it. Both far left and right parties will continue to increase their vote share all across Europe as Brussels refuses to reform until one day they wake up but it will be too late by then.
we don't know the future, and certainly you don't know it, so don't make any assumptions
now that there is Brexit, a lot of useful reforms will be made, and when the public is impacted positively with those reforms, they will support even more the EU
the problem is you British fookers would never play by the rules, always found exceptions to apply them, and basically would sabotage any effort for progress or real reforms unless they would benefits the Brits more than anybody else
basically not a team player, more like a loner, which you guys are in essence
your wishes have been granted, and frankly, good riddance
Just an aversion to sad fucks like yourself who have nothing about you and couldn't hack it in the real world so choose the easy option of hiding away in a classroom all your life. Plus you've freely admitted you don't like your job so your love of classrooms is only down to you being incapable of doing anything else. How those students must suffer sitting through a lesson with a boring cvnt like you at the front of the class. Maybe the afterlife will be kinder to you.
Long overdue reforms. Given results of recent elections in central european countries the EU will be forced to make big changes or lose them. More countries other than the UK are not at all happy with EU.
The vision of a unified europe was a good one and many of it's "rules" are good ones but it has morphed into an organization that has usurped rights of it's members that rightfully belong to any sovereign nation. To name three, control of it's borders, refugee policy and corporate taxation/incentives.
Some good things the EU has done. Common banking rules, creation of a trading block and arguably a single currency.
Just a yank's opinion mind.
"Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect,"
Nail on head, the EU wants to be bigger under the force-fed delusion that bigger means better. If they wanted to be better instead of just bigger allowing the unelected elites to play god and bully more people, first off basket cases like Greece would still be panic printing drachma and Turkey's application would have been laughed out of Bruxelles.
As for anyone using EU and democratic in the same sentence, I think the Thais might fall for that one!
The sooner it dies the better for all; I reckon 2025 at most before the cracks can no longer be concealed even from gullible grass-root socialists.
The immigration argument is a false, one imo. Immigration is no threat to proactive members of society. Mass immigration from Eastern Europe was something I witnessed, worked before it and after it. Granted, before it occurred there were many jobs ,and job hopping was pretty easy. The mind boggles why native Brits didn't apply. Lazy? Or was the work 'beneath them". I worked in catering ,cleaning and the odd bit of manual labor before uni. Immigrants simply took the jobs natives refused to apply for- this gives them little reason to whinge about Romanians and Polish taking jobs.
Worked with many Eastern Europeans; we all got minimum wage and paid taxes. The only cash in hand job I have taken was a bar job (Kambar,Cambridge) where it was Brits only.
The immigration argument isn't false at all you are just using it solely from a jobs perspective while totally ignoring the pressures on housing, schools, the NHS and local services. Because so many people came over a relatively short period of time the infrastructure wasn't in place to cope and still isn't for the extra 3 million people. This is government's fault both Labour and Tory but mainly Labour as they opened the floodgates without thinking through the consequences and people had enough of not being listened to and voted accordingly in the referendum.
