Can't argue with that for your own conditions and I hope it works out for your lot, but what we haven't considered in this thread is the £ if Ref2 results in a remain vote, and that's ignoring the legal, political and social upheavals.

While the EU cheerleaders crow at how well they are doing they don't have the nerve to look closer at what this is costing them, what it has already cost them, and what it will continue costing them. They much prefer the sheeplike sanctum of the pen.

First off the £ will be gone, an important concession that delivers independence on a plate to the new host. A trinket from JMKeynes, which of course everyone already knew, that a currency is not just a symbol of national independence, like a flag or anthem. It is a clear fact of independence that cannot be ignored, no less than a border, institutions of government or a legal system, or an army. Whoever controls the currency controls the country and its people. If you don’t control your own interest rates or your own economic policy you have no independence and are beholden to those that do control them, and with different goals.

Ref2 with a remain option would be assaulted with a new breed of lies from both sides. But having realised the calibre of 'friends with common interests' we have been dealing with over the past couple of years, I suspect when leavers explain to the people what it actually means to give up the £, let's hope the other option isn't a no deal hard Brexit because that could become the reality.

Unfortunately as we see right here, the noisy ones could not bear the thought of meeting a new day except from under the umbrella of total and abject control.

Not in the least bit deluded.
Why is the pound worth about 20% less than it was two years ago? Speculation that’s why. Speculation is guessing.

I’m simply speculating that, given a hard Brexit that neither the UK or The EU really wants, when faced with the inevitable, they will both have no choice but to make it work. Nothing delusional about that at all.

Is your desire for a comfy relationship with a crooked EU running the uk, the socialist utopia you seem to think it will be?

Sort of agree, seems the only thing to shake them up is to slam no deal onto the table, which nobody wants; if it comes via a Ref2 option, I'd wager they blink, smile and wave us over for a cuppa.

How the fcuk we got into this mess will be debated for years to come, though from past performance I doubt future leaders would waste their time brushing up on what not to repeat.

How we got into the current mess is quite simply because many people refuse to accept the result of the referendum and have done everything they can to scupper the result in a never ending quest to overturn it. Let's just hope the Tories finally ditch Doris and we get a new PM who actually supports Brexit, Davis, Raab, Rees Mogg, Boris or even Mcvey are all acceptable for the time being.

of course he is, he is raving mad, you can see it in his pro-Brexit arguments, probably a big fan of BoJo

if the EU thought even remotely that Brexit would have a significant impact on the overall Economic outlook, they would be working hard to make that deal happen, but they aren't

the truth is nobody cares and everyone in the EU wants to see you go, you shouldnt have never been there in the first place, this was your big chance, and you fooking blew it

    bye bye now,

Even BoJo is no longer supporting a hard Brexit, his masters tell him his funding for future political campaigns will be cut if it happens

Maybot should have told parliament it's either her deal, or no Brexit, and vote on it

    problem solved,

instead she got ambushed by her own party for delaying the vote and amending the agreement for the backstop, they just want to fuck it up like everything they do

I can't wait to see you English nutters fook off with or without a deal

^ there is nobody electable out there. The Scottish Conservative lady has potential, but she doesn't want the job.

^^^ The EU is cooked, it has no future. Russia must be loving this - once we Brexit and Germany/France leave NATO to form their EU army then Putin will turn off Germany's gas and roll the tanks into Berlin; easy as pie without the US/NATO to defend Europe...

Ruth would first have to become an MP to be able to stand for the Tory leadership and said she has no intention of doing that, just a shame she is a Europhile as other than that she generally speaks a lot of sense and some fire in her belly. But anything is better than Doris, just hope now the 48 letters are in the spineless Tories don't bottle it and finally get rid of her.

The poofters chariot just had a nice spin up to Edinburgh funnily enough, an enjoyable weekend in a city of culture with Scotland - Fiji at Murrayfield. You still moaning about your dreary poverty stricken life from your soi 6 barstool I see.

Blimey Germany and France leave NATO to form their EU army under German control since they pwn the EU, and before we know it deja vous all over again with white flags and goosestepping jackboots down the Champs. Hey dragon, you reckon Macron will stand his ground like a true hero of the French nation, or flee across the Channel like the great General?

Will be fun to watch if they open an Eastern Front.

Italy will be the country that will bring down the EU not the UK leaving. Teetering on the edge, when they fall into the toilet ala Greece, Germany will refuse to bail them out (which is who carries the can) not least because the German public have had a titfull of doing so. Not so sure why our belgium buddy is so anxious about the EU, other than the fact that before the EU Belgium was a nothing and now they feel important.

Ditto, EU is already insolvent and even extorting our 60bn would fill little more than Greece's next begging bowl, if they get it; if not then fast forward because Italy, also insolvent, and then others will soon appear at the office of illegal bailouts. 5-10 years and the EU will be deader than a Norwegian blue.

Saddest part of all is breaking it to the Belgian that Santa doesn't exist.

In 2015 Italy's manufacturing output was $264 billion representing 16% of GDP, UK was $244 billions representing 10% of GDP.

Bit of a fucking poisoned chalice innit?

Theresa May will face a vote of no confidence in her leadership of the Conservative party tonight, it has been announced.

Sir Graham Brady, the chairman of the 1922 backbench committee, released a statement saying the threshold of 48 signatures – 15 per cent of the total number of Tory MPs – “has been exceeded”.

Vote of no confidence today for PM May. Stay tuned.
    Does she:
    Stay?
    or
    Go?

She will win the no confidence vote as no way 50% of Tories will vote to oust her, 158 or so needed. But if close to or over 100 I'd like to think she will fuck off but probably not and we are stuck with her for another year barring a general election.
