White House Counsel Don McGahn will be leaving his position in the fall, shortly after the confirmation (hopefully) of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court. I have worked with Don for a long time and truly appreciate his service!

He seems a bit spineless and weak, so it's possible, especially if there's dirt on him that he wants to avoid prosecution for. He'll wait for what Netanyahu advises him. Will Netanyahu support Trump (more powerful) or Jared (Jewish with Israeli interests)?
What is interesting is the Trump camp are thinking of hiring Jared's own lawyer for the WH legal team. That could produce some ethical dilemnas for Abbe Lowell. If Lowell doesn't take the WH job, I think it may hint at potential professional conflict of interest.

Definitely possible. I think he's from the same mold as Manafort. Arrogant and sees himself as untouchable. He'll just keep denying any wrong doing and if worst comes to worst wait for a pardon.

today could possibly be a day of significant bombshells from mueller.

there is a DOJ policy about not impacting elections...and the unwritten guideline is not to do anything 60 days out.....therefore, since monday is labor day, the mueller investigation will likely go dark (still working, but no public statements or charges) until after the election.

so the theory goes that if mueller is going to do anything else before the election, today is the last day to do it.

we'll see.

1. you haven't been paying attention if you think all these indictments, guilty pleas and convictions are 'nothing'.
2. i would rather mueller take his time and nail down the conspiracy and obstruction charges thoroughly rather than risk a mistake by moving too quickly.
3. to date, this investigation isn't even half as long as the clinton investigation in the 90s....these things take time.
4. if trump had submitted to an interview, this likely would have wrapped up sooner.
