Nah you missed the point as you so often do. Trump did not win the popular vote. He has been an asshole for too long so its simply time to vote him out. That is why we have elections. Think about it..

Perhaps I have missed the point how perfect the "election" is being. In spite of the enormous money spent and the huge effort of the trustful population...

Watching Volker trying to dodge a perjury charge is going to be a hoot....

    5th amendment anyone?

The U.S. House of Representatives holds its second week of public hearings on the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump with testimony by nine aides and officials, including the top diplomat to the European Union, Tuesday through Thursday.
Jennifer Williams, an aide to Vice President Mike Pence, and Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, the National Security Council's top Ukraine expert, are set to testify Tuesday morning, followed by former U.S. Special Envoy to Ukraine Kurt Volker and another former NSC official Tim Morrison Tuesday afternoon.
U.S. Ambassador to the EU Gordon Sondland is set to testify Wednesday morning, followed by career Pentagon official Laura Cooper and Undersecretary of State David Hale Wednesday afternoon. Former White House adviser Fiona Hill and career foreign service officer David Holmes are to testify Thursday.

Bowie, after the most recent, undeniable revelations re Trump holding back Military Aid unless the recipient country, Ukraine, conduct a public investigation into then, the lead contender who would oppose him in the next Presidential Elections, has that changed/made you rethink your opinion of Trump?

I think it would be interesting to hear what a confirmed Trump voter/supporter thinks about the recent turn of events.

I'd appreciate Bowie's reply and not you rabble

hmm... many layers to the onion.

First off – Trump supporter – not necessarily. Supporter in usage can mean many things. In one context you have the “I’ll follow you into the gates of Hell” “Take a Bullet for You” “you’re shit don’t stink” supporter.

In another context you have the, “I voted for the best candidate” so I am a supporter.

For myself I voted for the best candidate, and it wasn’t Hillary.

Anyway, back to the question concerning “undeniable revelations”. Well, an inquiry is underway, if crime was committed and adequate evidence is established a trial will occur. If convicted of a crime Trump will be removed from office. Enough said on the subject as it is on a level far above our reach.

But, I do believe that Trump did stack the deck in his favor during the mid-terms with adding seats to the senate and with the judge appointments. If an impeachment trial occurs – it is “unlikely”, or “very unlikely” that the Senate will remove him from office.

As far as his “actions and activities” as POTUS. On a PC “the best the US has to offer” stage, I’d rate him as an abject failure – far from princely projection all want. On a USA “state of the union” performance under his administration, I rate the performance of his administration as “better than expected”. DJIA and S&P at record highs and unemployment at record lows. Now, the caveat on this is “debt”. Questions concerning the longest running Bull, bursting bubbles and the state of things to come. Damn glad I ain’t a millennial.

Now, another layer to the onion. The upcoming presidential election is the Democrats to lose. If they continue to pursue the “elect me because the other guy is so bad” platform – they’ll lose. The impeachment inquiry is a double-edged sword that in the end will backfire. Even if the unthinkable did happen, and the Senate convicted Trump and removed him from office – there’s Pence.

The Dem’s need a strong candidate with a strong “this is what I’ll do as President” platform. Americans don’t really need much, jobs with fair pay for fair work, healthcare, education for their children, a secure retirement. These things are the path to the Whitehouse. Concentrate on these – not on the “we need to get rid of Donald" platform.

Speaking for myself and myself only. My vote goes to the candidate that I believe will provide what’s best for Me. Call me selfish. However, whoever it is that presents a viable and though out platform specific to issues that impact me will get my vote.

^ Seems fairly balanced. My take on the whole thing was that many people thought that Trump was a blaggard and a buffoon, but they hated Hillary. And many even dems could just not bring themselves to vote for her.

Going for Hillary again would be a big, big mistake.

Well why not add fucking up any chance of Middle East peace while you're fucking up everything else?

US on Monday effectively backed Israel to build illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank by abandoning its four-decade-old position that they were “inconsistent with international law,” a stance that may make Israeli-Palestinian peace even more elusive.
The announcement by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was a victory for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is struggling to remain in power after two inconclusive Israeli elections this year, and a defeat for the Palestinians.

Perhaps it's a reaction on EU move?

EU moves ahead with labeling goods made in Israeli settlements

    11th Nov 2019

BRUSSELS/JERUSALEM (Reuters) - The European Union published new guidelines on Wednesday for labeling products made in Israeli settlements, a move Brussels said was technical but Israel branded “discriminatory” and damaging to peace efforts with the Palestinians.

Drawn up over three years by the European Commission, the guidelines mean Israeli producers must explicitly label farm goods and other products that come from settlements built on land occupied by Israel if they are sold in the European Union.

The decision comes at a time of high tension between Israel and Palestinians. Twelve Israelis have been killed in attacks by Palestinians and more than 70 Palestinians, 44 of them assailants according to police, have been killed by security forces at scenes of attacks and many others in violent protests in the West Bank and near the Gaza border

The violence is in part fueled by the occupation and the growth of settlements.

Israeli officials, briefed that the decision was coming, were quick to denounce it. The foreign ministry said it was a political move designed to pressure Israel over its settlements policy. It summoned the EU ambassador to Israel and said it would suspend diplomatic dialogue in the coming weeks.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was in Washington on an official visit, called the decision “hypocritical and a double standard”, saying the EU was not taking similar steps in hundreds of territorial conflicts elsewhere in the world.

“The European Union should be ashamed of itself,” he said. “We do not accept the fact that Europe is labeling the side being attacked by terrorist acts.”

Good point, it's not fair that consumers will be made aware that the goods they are considering buying come from stolen land and highlighting the issue.

It discriminates against their attempts to sweep everything under the carpet.

It summoned the EU ambassador to Israel and said it would suspend diplomatic dialogue in the coming weeks.

Donald Trump Will Resign Blaming Poor Health Before House Can Impeach Him

A leading Democratic organizer has predicted that the impeachment investigation could spell the end for President Donald Trump, by prompting either internal betrayal or forcing the commander in chief to hand the reins over to the vice president.Jon Cooper, the chairman of the Democratic Coalition, suggested on Sunday that Trump is on very thin ice and—despite his stubborn promises to win re-election in 2020—may not even make it to the next presidential contest.

The White House is currently struggling to fight off allegations that Trump effectively attempted to bribe the Ukrainian government into interfering in the 2020 election by opening an investigation into Democratic candidate Joe Biden.

The accusations spawned a House Democrat-led impeachment investigation into the president, which has produced damaging testimony from a range of senior State Department and National Security Council officials. Public hearings began last week and will recommence Tuesday.

Trump and his allies have sought to undermine the probe and malign witnesses, though each new session produces more damaging information. It now seems a foregone conclusion that he will be impeached a party-line House vote, though remains unlikely that the Republican-controlled Senate will convict him.

Cooper argued that the situation has become so dire that the president may not even be able to see out his full term.

Trump has regularly bragged about his supposedly "very" good health, most recently following an unscheduled weekend check-up.

The two-hour appointment sparked rumors that he could be suffering from ill health, but White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grishman was quick to dismiss such reports, Reuters said.

Asked whether there was a more concerning reason for the check up, Grisham told reporters Sunday, "Absolutely not. He is healthy as can be."

Regardless, Cooper wrote on Twitter, "PREDICTION: Donald Trump will resign from office before he can be impeached, citing health reasons."

In a separate post, Cooper suggested Trump might be in more danger from his own team than outside critics. Vice President Mike Pence, specifically, is "likely" eyeing Trump's spot in the Oval Office, Cooper said.

"Three things to understand about @VP Mike Pence," Cooper wrote. First, he argued that the vice president "knows Trump is a lying, cheating, corrupt, traitorous criminal." In addition, Pence's own ambition make him a dangerous ally to have, Cooper added.

"He'd stab anyone in the back — and I mean ANYONE — to advance his political aspirations," Cooper claimed. "He's likely plotting behind the scenes right now to betray Trump."

Trump's unannounced medical appointment resurrected theories that the president's health is not as good as he says.

Trump sought to allay fears about his health during his presidential campaign, releasing a letter from his long-time personal doctor—Dr. Harold Bornstein—which lauded Trump's "astonishingly excellent" condition and claimed he would "unequivocally" be the healthiest president in history.

Bornstein has since told NBC News that the president wrote the letter himself. In 2017, Bornstein also claimed that Trump aides turned up unannounced at his office and removed files relating to the president.
