When 45 or for that matter any Prez with a mandate from the people correct the biggest threat plaguing the US all the rest is peripheral political noise.

    How well I remember this,

He was right and has only gotten worse since his warning. US military spending 35% of the entire rest of the world! Dwight must be rolling over in his grave.

I think I first heard the term "military-industrial complex" during the Dubbya years, and anyone that mentioned it was anti the Afghan and Iraq invasions and was labeled a nutcase/conspiracy theorist/non-patriot.
It always happens; when the corrupt are called out, they put labels on their accusers to try to sway public opinion against those speaking the truth.
"Fake news" is one of the current labels being used thus.

How is is stating my belief that the Paris accord is a waste of money as it does nothing to stop global warming, maybe that money should be put to building alternative energy.

I have never backed away from anything, you stated I supported Trump giving tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires not so and I called you out on that.

I am editing this post because I decided I am not quite finished responding .

Deserve or not I could actually care less. The hatred you have is that someone speaks out when you deride Trump at every opportunity deserved or not. The fact is I do not support all that Trump does or says but I also do not hate him as you do. You have the false opinion that because I do not support all of your liberal ideas that I support everything Trump does or says.

In the republican primaries I was a staunch supporter of Rudio and was highly disappointed at Trumps success. When it came down to Trump and Hillary I had a hard time punching the Trump ticket but in the end I could not support what I saw would be coming if Hillary was elected.

I guess you could say I am really an independent with a tendency to go with the Libertarians.

You call boon me a man with a spine but in the end he gave in to your constant berating and flounced.

Final you can take your post and shove it.

"Leaked schedules to US news site Axios show that US President Donald Trump has spent about 60 per cent of his time over the past three months on "Executive Time".

    ...

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told Axios that Trump "has a different leadership style than his predecessors and the results speak for themselves".

    Sarah's a comedian, who knew!

^ For what is perhaps the first time, Sarah has spoken the direct and unadulterated truth. Yes, Trump has a different leadership style.
Well, for a POTUS, not for various dictators and idiots throughout history.

David Karol of the University of Maryland said: “If [Ronald] Reagan was taking a nap or watching an old movie, people didn’t know. His door was closed, he was in the Oval Office, he was in the residence.

“But with Trump because he’s tweeting and his tweets in many cases are clearly inspired by some Fox News segment only 10 minutes ago, it’s pretty obvious what he’s spending his time doing, at least in the early part of the day.”

    Oh, my, my, my!

Federal prosecutors subpoena Trump inaugural committee, source says

(CNN)Federal prosecutors in New York on Monday subpoenaed President Donald Trump's inaugural committee for documents related to donors, vendors and finances, according to a copy of the subpoena reviewed by CNN, a step that appears to escalate that office's ongoing investigation of the committee's activity.

The wide-ranging subpoena from the Manhattan US attorney's office requires the committee to turn over documents related to virtually every donor or donation, attendee at a committee event, piece of paperwork related to the legal requirements attached to donations and even "the possibility of" donations made by foreign nationals.

It discloses that prosecutors are investigating a litany of potential crimes: conspiracy against the US, false statements, mail fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, inaugural committee disclosure violations, and violations of laws prohibiting contributions by foreign nations and contributions in the name of another person, also known as straw donors.

^ Remember way back when Trump fired Chris Christie from the transition committee because he was too honest? Trump thought all the money raised by the inaugural committee belonged in his pocket. Hehe.

Christie was replaced by Mike Pence. Looks as though he’s caught up in this investigation also.
