    So we have:

A puff piece from Bloomberg that says Americans "think" the economy is going well and will continue to do so (well we know a lot of them are as dumb as fucking rocks - they voted for baldy orange cunto).

A piece from a committed Coal lobbyist baldy orange cunto put into the EPA, saying that baldy orange cunto has reduced CO2 emissions. If you believe that shit I have a bridge to sell you.

And some bollocks from some old groper who doesn't realise that Nord 2 is going ahead even if baldy orange cunto tries more sanctions.

And then he finishes with fucking Breitbart.

The fucking doddery old fool hasn't got the slightest clue what is going on around him.

will the october surprise (the "bombs" sent to dems) affect voters in the suburbs?

trump/republicans were on a roll before that happened.

    -------------

anyways, talk of a blue wave has gone away.

even the mainstream media is reporting that repbublicans will hold the senate.

the house looks likely to go to the dems.

the only way republicans can hold it is if the polls are wrong like they were when predicting hillary would get enough electoral votes to win.

part of the reason the polls were wrong then is it is not politically correct to say you support trump and that may have thrown off the polls.

trump (against hillary) won the majority of white women and a higher percentage of blacks and mexicans than romney.

of course, the suburbs will decide if trump/republicans hold onto the house.

    what will white women do?

i don't read breitbart. looked at once or twice and wasn't impressed with the over-the-top content.

that said, what source would you say is "neutral" on trump, i.e. not biased?

the mainstream u.s. media has always been biased against the republicans because the management and anchors of the mainstream media are democrats.

though, trump has given the mainstream media (cnn, wa post, ny times, etc.) a chance to show their true colors.

regarding my previous post, see stephen colbert's reaction at the 45 second mark:

Polls were probably correct and because of polls, many didn't bother to vote. Dems must get out the vote or they may not gain house. Trump is focusing on Senate seats with his rallies so Republicans should hold the Senate.

yep, because of the way the districts are drawn, trump can help the bigger map that senators have.

house districts (smaller) in swing states are more tricky, to be honest, and bringing trump in won't be beneficial in many cases.

Folks may not like his methods but it is clear Trump is in complete control of the political narrative. And as they did during his run, the media takes the bait and keeps him in the news 24/7. He knows exactly what he is doing and is very good at doing it.

Disappointed to learn that his Twitter presidency ha fooled so many gullible Americans?

He can say anything in a tweet, then deny, withdraw or edit, until it meets populism.

I know US politics is fucked up, (because frt pretends to understand it).
I just never realized the good folks back home were equally inept

told you from the beginning, didn't believe me

Trump is proving that the POTUS is really nothing more than a spokesperson, and really not a hard job to do. In some ways, you can start questioning the real use for it.

The office of the President is basically a recruiting agency for staffing government agencies. I believe there are about 1,200 nominations to be had over a full presidential term. That's a lot of work to staff people to run your policies, in less than 4 years. It's actually impossible, a complete waste of time. The time it takes to put your policies in place is too long and too cumbersome eventually, to make them worthwhile and effective.

Trump election means any fuckhead with the right populous message can get into the WH. This means the next POTUS will be sooner rather than later, a fully functional authoritarian, as the voting population will have no longer the patience to wait for Democracy to work the policies they have been asking for for decades.

Born on May 3, 1469, in Florence, Italy, Niccolò Machiavelli was a diplomat for 14 years in Italy's Florentine Republic during the Medici family's exile.

When the Medici family returned to power in 1512, Machiavelli was dismissed and briefly jailed. He then wrote The Prince, a handbook for politicians

on the use of ruthless, self-serving cunning,...inspiring the term "Machiavellian" and establishing Machiavelli as the "father of modern political theory."
He died on June 21, 1527, in Florence, Italy. https://www.biography.com/people/nic...avelli-9392446
