Just accuracy sake; four of his corporations under his control legaly declared bankruptcy.
Five and six were bankruptcies on corporations no longer under his control but licensed to use his name.
Admitedly some very complex financial shenanigans, but Trump himself never declared personal bankruptcy.
Again, kittens you display a natural ability to parrot one sided media, NBC and CNN.
What it all really means seems open for much speculation.
Is he a crook for using legaly established precedents to bail out his companies? I can't say.
What I know for sure; is that I'm certainly not qualified to speculate on such complicated financial deals.
I suspect very few people are.

that's the essence of it, and why Obama acting so foolishly as he is desperate in his big failure of foreign policies (with Hillary at the head of that)Originally Posted by Neo

Bankruptcies is part of business, many successful entrepeneurs go through it
putting your money into an index fund and wait for the returns is not being an entrepreneur or a businessman, you are not taking any risk, you are basically a capitalist pig in the true sense of the term, that is doing nothing while getting paid massive amount of money.

It means they fuked up. Nobody thinks bankruptcy is a big win.Originally Posted by Dragonfly

Is it? He put several little guys out of business when he stiffed them. Bankruptcy is shameful.Originally Posted by Mr Earl
we can all criticize Trump for all his business failures, but at least he is trying and trying and putting his money at risk instead of putting it in an index fund like so many have claimed it should have done to be a top billionaire.
well, big fucking news, you mean entrepreneurs can actually fuck up ? I thought they all call do no wrongOriginally Posted by Humbert

See the world is a really nasty nasty place, thank god we have Putin and Trump to protect us from it all
That's what you and Earl say about Trump.Originally Posted by Dragonfly

I don't think so, he might actually make a great President. He is going to work and compromise a lot of with the Dems because his party is so rigid and authoritarian. The Dems have a real chance to push a lot of "progressive" ideas through him. A bit like Nixon.Originally Posted by Humbert
I was with them in upper management at one the divisions when they went bankrupt in the 90's. It was a horrible experience. It was all the result of mistakes by senior corporate management who screwed up with their greed for acquisition. We caused a lot of suppliers to go belly up. We came out of it and went on to make the same mistakes again. I have only sympathy for the people who are losing their jobs.Originally Posted by RPETER65

By stiffing people I ordered merchandise from and then paying a fraction of the amount owed? No I would never allow that to happen. Most companies go on spending and ordering right up until the end knowing full well that are putting their suppliers at risk. It's greedy and shameful.Originally Posted by RPETER65

They were magic in the 90's but they gobbled up too many competitors and then let the stores rot on the vine. Their stores are a disgrace now. Customers shifting to online will kill them off for good. The senior management operations came mostly from Cincinnati. Lungren came from Nieman's. Most of the merchandisers were from NY.Originally Posted by Dragonfly
