    More Fake News - the Debate

    Watch from about the 1.00 mark and through to the end because the interchange between the Reporter and the
    President's spokesperson is worthy on being on the Teak Door.

    An American journalist has defended telling a White House spokeswoman she was "inflaming" tensions with the media during a
    press briefing, saying "I don't like bullies".

    Brian Karem, White House correspondent for Playboy magazine (cough ), appeared on CNN and MSNBC on Wednesday
    morning to say: "I've been tired of being bullied. I've been tired of being blamed.

    That's convenient.

    In other news, racist Christian fundamentalists are, in fact, not actually Christian. Who knew?

    what elche wrote is 'not practicing islam'....and what you wrote is 'not actually christian'....which completely misrepresents the point of his post.

    that's convenient.

    i'm sure KKK members are convinced they are good christians...but they aren't really practicing christianity...even though they can still refer to themselves as christians.

    in other news, your flippant post on a complex topic is, in fact, not actually helpful.
    who knew?

    Something of a red herring and the fallacy of false equivalence to suggest that violence and racism are the same, so that the latter can replace the former to present an argument, which is a straw man of course and, in this case to be precise, a fallacy of the undistributed middle. But regardless, which Christian fundamentalist sect are your referring to that holds racism to be part of their official doctrine and represents Christian fundamentalism in general today?

    For one not a fake poll. 8000 person poll looking into trumps support.

    The 5 types of trump voter, fairly evenly represented proportion to one another, of those only 1 type has a strong sense of racial identity, and this is the group had the most favorable view of clunkton in 2012.

    It is indeed quite amusing to observe how our precious snowflake Hillary bots still cannot accept the reality that Trump won for one reason and one one reason only; Hillary was an absolutely shit candidate.

    Yet despite all the odds (Hillary had all the money and media on her side) Trump the pretentious pussy grabbing mysogynist media showman somehow pulled a rabbit out of his hat!

    Using Breitbart as a source of "information"? You've got to be joking? No? If not, you've just labelled yourself as either a propagandist or a crackpot. Either way, you've shown yourself as someone with zero credibility.

    Trump tweets shocking assault on Brzezinski, Scarborough

    Trump tweets shocking assault on Brzezinski, Scarborough - Jun. 29, 2017

    ...On Thursday morning, while MSNBC's "Morning Joe" was on the air, Trump posted a pair of hateful tweets about co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski. MSNBC responded with this statement: "It's a sad day for America when the president spends his time bullying, lying and spewing petty personal attacks instead of doing his job." ...

    A petty tyrant acting like the weak, revolting bully that he is.

    No, he isn't. He's quite serious about it in fact.

    Mind, he also believes that a DNC linked child-trafficking ring was being run out of a Washington, D.C. pizza parlor so, you know, that sorta colors everything he says.

    NYT Corrects Story Claiming 17 Intel Agencies ‘Agree’ On Russia

    The New York Times issued a correction Thursday on an article that incorrectly claimed all 17 U.S. intelligence agencies agreed that “Russia orchestrated the attacks, and did it to help get [Trump] elected.”

    The original article, published June 25, covered certain reactions that President Donald Trump gave in response to Russian cyber attacks and interactions with the 2016 presidential election.

    TheNYT’s correction notes that: “The assessment was made by four intelligence agencies — the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Security Agency. The assessment was not approved by all 17 organizations in the American intelligence community.”

    Former candidate Hillary Clinton made the claim in late May that all 17 intelligence agencies agreed “that the Russians ran an extensive information war against my campaign to influence voters in the election.”

    Former FBI Director James Comey refuted this false claim in a congressional hearing in May, stating that the assessment was only from the NSA, FBI and the CIA.

    The Daily Caller News Foundation published a fact-check June 1 that rated Clinton’s claim as “False.”
    NYT Issues Correction On Russia Article | The Daily Caller

    Correction: June 29, 2017
    A White House Memo article on Monday about President Trump’s deflections and denials about Russia referred incorrectly to the source of an intelligence assessment that said Russia orchestrated hacking attacks during last year’s presidential election. The assessment was made by four intelligence agencies — the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Security Agency. The assessment was not approved by all 17 organizations in the American intelligence community.

    House Passes 'Kate's Law' And Bill Cracking Down on Sanctuary Cities

    The House of Representatives on Thursday passed two immigration bills that help President Donald Trump in his fight against illegal immigration and sanctuary cities.
    The bills — Kate’s Law and the No Sanctuary for Criminals Act — raise the penalties for undocumented immigrants who re-enter the United States after being deported and revoke federal grants from cities that do not comply with federal immigration enforcement.

    Both bills passed largely along party lines after Republicans, including the President, heavily promoted them. Trump tweeted five times on Thursday to express his support for the pieces of legislation, once saying “MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN” and other times saying he hopes the Senate will follow the House’s lead.

    Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly also joined House Speaker Paul Ryan on Thursday to promote the bills, according to the Washington Post.

    “President Trump has been clear that our borders are not open to illegal immigration, that we are a nation of laws, and we will no longer look the other way,” Kelly said on Thursday. “Well, we will no longer look the other way in the interior, either.”

    “Kate’s Law” is named for Kathryn Steinle, who was killed in 2015 by an undocumented immigrant who’d been deported five times. Under the bill, an undocumented immigrant previously convicted of a crime who tries to re-enter the U.S. could face up to 10 to 25 years in prison, according to NBC News.

    Democrats have sharply criticized the bills, saying they will have a negative effect on public safety and ratchet up fear among all immigrants. But Trump was happy with the House’s progress on Thursday, releasing a statement saying the legislation fulfilled promises he made while campaigning.

    “The implementation of these policies will make our communities safer. Opposing these bills, and allowing dangerous criminals back into our communities, our schools, and the neighborhoods where our children play, puts all of us at risk,” the President said in his statement. “Now that the House has acted, I urged the Senate to take up these bills, pass them, and send them to my desk. I am calling on all lawmakers to vote for these bills and to save American lives.”

    "Unpresidential";
    "vile, sexist and unbecoming of an American leader";
    "divisive";
    "unhinged and shameful" and "amazingly graceless".

    Some of the reactions from members of Congress, Republicans and Democrats, to Drumpf's latest Twatter attack, this time on the 'Morning Joe' hosts.

    And then there's this gem from Republican strategist Liz Mair: "It is really not normal that the president of the United States and the commander-in-chief would be tweeting about somebody's face".

    No-fucking-shit it's not normal. It's the (re)actions of a Giant Orange Man-Baby. Trouble is that shit like this from Trump and the acceptance of it by his supporters - tacit or otherwise - means that it becomes normalised.

    Actually here are the tweets in question because I've just noticed something else interesting about them.

    The first contains his usual cry-baby name-calling (and fuck off, does anyone really believe that narcissist doesn't watch anything that mentions his name):

    However it's the second one that has caused the most kerfuffle because of the deeply personal nature of the attack.

    Which also underlines my earlier point, name-calling as in the first tweet has become normalised... From the President of the U.S.

    Anyway, look at the time of the respective tweets. Apparently it either takes him six minutes to type 26 words or he was interrupted and attended to do something else and still didn't think better of firing off a knee-jerk comment like that.

    Douche-bags, meet your god. I mean President.

    I've not watched Morning Joe before the last couple of months. I gather Brzezinski and Scarborough were friends of Trump's until Trump was elected, then some falling out over who Trump selected to be in his cabinet.

    Anyone know the back story?
