Nope, it's real . . . I have quite a few American friends and acquaintances stemming from both living there and working for American companies for 20 years and only one isn't completely embarrassed by what is going on . . .

It's pretty cringeworthy. I'm not even bothering to follow it.

And this is the democracy the US is attempting to foist on several reluctant countries by force of arms (read bombs) and, or sanctions.

Nothing new or revealing, as that democracy has been conducting such activities for decades - even into a century plus - in a variety of avenues. Covert or overtly, devil may care.

They find the world is their business and interest - their providence, regardless.
The populations are unaware or indifferent to what is done in their name the world over forever.....or the easier fashion is to whip up the frenzy of "nationalism" or "national security" or "preserving the American way" towards all foreign ventures, be they warranted [almost all aren't worthy] or not - simply, an historic extension of the fading British imperial system.
