British QE: Consumption-tration Camps - Keiser

Good plug on Britain, QE, and some other notes. Is Britain's economy in this bad of shape or is this hype.

Given that RT is RFA with conspiracy theories, I would say their interest in the truth as about as strong as infowars. Lies for people who want to be lied too. Personally, wouldn't take anything they say seriously without actually doing some decent checking of their 'facts'.

However the foil heads seem to like and trust it.

    ^ It's Max Keiser.

So, instead of RT, you can critique Keiser,

and of course, Keiser was being sarcastic with that statement.

In the 1830s slavery was made illegal
Instead of compensation for the slaves
authority decided that slave owners would be compensated
costing 17 billion pounds to sort it
creating the biggest financial crisis on the planet
worse than the one we have today.
british banking was in crisis and this rolled over into the Irish economy
controlled by the brits at that time.
A potato blight in the 1840s compounded with the banking debt
saw more than 1.5 million to 2 million starve to death.
There was food other than spuds but that was taken and used to feed
soldiers in the Crimea and sold to help pay off the debt.
2 million were also forced to leave Ireland for pastures new to escape the nightmare.
They didn't give a flying fuck then and they don't today.
Maybe not starving as folk have food banks but suicides all over are mounting.
And being kept secret for now.

    Love Max and Stacy.

the chap hangs out with RT, real tv and infowars... then uses the language of the tin foil head. a chap who simply knows the truth and works back from that to 'discover' the evidence... not the kind chap thats going to give you reliable information.

There are quite a few serious issues facing the UK economy... but this chaps not going to help find out that they really are. you need to find people who are actually interested in the accuracy of what they tell you

I'm interested in knowing more about the UK situation, economically.

If you, or anyone can steer me to some sources, I'll read it up.

You have to take all this stuff with a pinch of...

I recall onetime many years ago talking to a guy in UK on the phone when the economy was supposed to be in the toilet. I asked is it really as bad as everyone makes out. he said he didn't know but had just bought a new car.

You have to put it all in context. Are they talking about the economy of the country from the perspective of the people who live there or a comparison to other economies.

Usually it it from the perspective of pundits/gamblers who wish to benefit one way or another from any change be it good or bad.

For starter's I would recommend three books

The nature of money, 'A History of Debt, the first 5000 years', by David Graeber
economics without the revisionism, 'bad samaritans', by Ha-Joon Chang
Nature of cronyism, 'Asian Godfathers', by Joe Studwell

Why different countries develop at different rates, 'Guns, Germs And Steel', by Jared Diamond

All a hell of a lot better researched than what you find on RT and infowars
