It appears many Syrians are returning home, well according to the UNHCR/ BBC. The spokeswoman does appear to have a Russian name.

"Speaking on Friday, UNHCR spokesman Andrej Mahecic said his agency was now seeing a "notable trend of spontaneous returns to and within Syria" in 2017.
"Most of these people are returning to check on their properties, to find out about the family members. This is what we know from some of the evidence that we have gathered.
"In some cases they have their own perceptions about the security, whether they are real or perceived improvements in the security situation in the areas where they are going to."

    Which is good news.

I wonder how many fled because of rumour though?

Most of the recent returnees never actually left Syria. Most of those who left the country are still outside it.

...more than 440,000 internally displaced Syrians and about 31,000 of those who fled abroad have now come back.

Meanwhile the current ameristani Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, stated yesterday that he was :

"prepared to explore the possibility" :

Rex W. Tillerson was sworn in as the 69th U.S. Secretary of State on February 1, 2017.

"The United States is prepared to explore the possibility of establishing with Russia joint mechanisms for ensuring stability, including no-fly zones, on the ground ceasefire observers, and coordinated delivery of humanitarian assistance. If our two countries work together to establish stability on the ground, it will lay a foundation for progress on the settlement of Syria's political future."

    https://www.state.gov/secretary/rema.../07/272371.htm

However The Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Viktorovich Lavrov in office since 2004, awaits the details.

    "
PARIS, July 6. /TASS/. Moscow has handed to Washington its considerations regarding Syria and it is awaiting Washington's reaction, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday.

"We handed our proposals timed for the first contact between the Russian and U.S. Presidents to U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson before his trip to Moscow in April," Lavrov said. "This was because he himself had come up with an idea of preparations for the meeting between the Presidents in advance when we had talks in Bonn in February."

"Now we're awaiting a reaction to our proposals," he said.

"As far as I can see, what the U.S. Secretary of State said yesterday (July 5) was a pre-readied speech," he said. "They didn't warn us that it might be devoted to a reaction to our considerations timed for the meeting of Presidents (Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump) in Hamburg."

"We've issued a query but haven't received a reply so far," Lavrov said. "The question is what kind of no-flight zones are presupposed because they haven't been mentioned in the past."

"But I am confident that in spite questions on one or another formulation, the aim of this statement at stepping up Russian-U.S. cooperation is a step in the right direction," he said.

""What’s really important is that the movement towards settling the Syrian crisis should be reciprocal and no one should try to pretend nothing depends on them."

TASS: World - Russia hands its proposals on Syria to US, awaiting reaction ? Lavrov

Is this another sound bite from the ameristanis, similar to their soundbite of being "disappointed with China's effort", re DPRK , "but they tried"? One wonders how long Tillerson will accept this battle at home base.

Not my countryman and the fact that you couldn't see that the name was very obviously NOT Russian casts a lot of doubt on your ability to understand much of what you post.

CAIRO (Reuters) - The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights told Reuters on Tuesday that it had "confirmed information" that Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been killed.

Russia's defense ministry said it may have killed Baghdadi when one of its air strikes hit a gathering of Islamic State commanders on the outskirts of the Syrian city of Raqqa, but Washington said it could not corroborate the death and Western and Iraqi officials have been skeptical.

Reuters could not independently verify Baghdadi's death.

Baghdadi's death, which has been frequently reported since he declared a caliphate from a mosque in the Iraqi city of Mosul in 2014, is one of the biggest blows yet to the jihadist group, which is trying to defend shrinking territory in Syria and Iraq.

Allegedly Syrian and Hezbollah are "persuading" terrorists in Lebanon to join the ceasefire.

Syrian airforce bombs terrorists in east Lebanon while Hezbollah attacks from the ground

"The Syrian Arab Air force has conducted strikes in the Eastern Lebanese Beqa’a Governorate in coordination with Hezbollah forces on the ground.

Hezbollah’s Secretary General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah warned of a further large scale attack if the Salafist terrorist group and al-Qaeda offshoot Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham did not immediately leave the Qalamoun Mountains near the Syria-Lebanon border.
Hezbollah are readying further offensives against terrorist groups in the region in a final push to end the Salafist presence on the Syrian-Lebanese border."

^ You blamed Iranians for that before. Now you seem to be blaming Lebanese. Next you'll be saying they are the same. But then again, you hate the Shia. Nuff said.

You're a fucking idiot, do you know that?

After the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982, Israel occupied a strip of south Lebanon, which was controlled by the South Lebanon Army (SLA), a militia supported by Israel. Hezbollah was conceived by Muslim clerics and funded by Iran primarily to harass the Israeli occupation. Its leaders were followers of Ayatollah Khomeini, and its forces were trained and organized by a contingent of 1,500 Revolutionary Guards that arrived from Iran with permission from the Syrian government, which was in occupation of Lebanon at the time.
Iran uses the Lebanese Hezbollah to do their dirty work.

FFS learn the basics will you.

If you're trying to be specific, no.

It was a hand grenade and he was actually Iranian, although most of the other terrorists evaded capture.

But as usual you're missing the point: Iran and Hezbollah are single terrorist entity; one funds and supports the other.

Bangkok Terrorism Arrests Could Mark Latest Setback for Hizballah and Iran
    Karl Vick
    Apr 18, 2014
The arrest of two Lebanese men in Thailand, allegedly for plotting to target Jewish tourists on a busy Bangkok street on behalf of the Lebanese Shiite group Hizballah, could mark the latest failed effort by the militia to resume terror attacks overseas. The latest plot, revealed in the Thai press on Friday, ended almost before it began. The two men reportedly arrived in Bangkok April 13 and were detained by Thai police on information supplied by Israeli intelligence. Both men allegedly carried passports of third countries (Philippines and France); Hizballah has previously shown it prefers its operatives to carry second passports. Media reports say one of the men admitted a plot to detonate explosives on Bangkok’s Khao San Road, a nexus for international backpackers, including young Israelis. The suspect also agreed to lead investigators to “bomb-making equipment” in the province of Rayong, southeast of the capital, the Bangkok Post reported.
Quite why you have a hard on for these killers I don't know.

    More of the same.

One reversal came in Bangkok in January 2012, when a Hizballah agent (with a Swedish passport) led authorities to a 8,800 pounds of chemicals being assembled into explosives, apparently for shipment abroad in bags labeled as kitty litter.

Gobsmacked that not everyone knows Hezbollah is an Iranian proxy, in which case they're even less likely to connect Iran with the Houthi and for that matter several other 'friendlies' including Hamas, the MB's first geographical prodigy which oddly enough is supported by both Sunni and Shia.

Sunni-Shia cooperate in respect to Hamas, as they do in many other matters under the doctrine of general vs particular which was covered earlier, though few if any of our sleuths bothered to acknowledge what it represents.

It works like this: "we hate you and will kill you, but let's cooperate and we can kill each other later, or even while we cooperate if either side wishes."

The difficulty for westerners is that the 'general/particular' doctrine makes this perfect logic to both sides.
