    a win-win for everyone,
    Not that simple, Hezbollah and Hamas have tried and failed for years, Israel is heavily militarized and don't forget the Jew has got nukes... if anyone would hit the red button out of spite it would be them.

    good point, but this time they are surrounded

    it wouldn't be the first time they destroy their own societies, they did it twice in the past

    looks like things never change, even after 2000 years

    Obama, Putin strike chord on Syria as leaders vow to quell terror
    AFP

    US President Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin of Russia agreed Sunday on the first steps towards peace in Syria, as the Paris attacks jolted world leaders into a crackdown on foreign fighters.

    The horror of the attacks in Paris shook leaders at a summit in Turkey, adding a new urgency to their search for a solution to the four-year war in Syria that has enabled the rise of Islamic State jihadists.

    Putting aside important differences, Obama and Putin met over a coffee table on the sidelines of the Group of 20 summit in the resort of Antalya to align their positions on Syria after the Paris assaults, which killed at least 129 people and were claimed by IS.

    "The conversation lasted approximately 35 minutes and centred around ongoing efforts to resolve the conflict in Syria, an imperative made all the more urgent by the horrifying terrorist attacks in Paris," a US official said.

    Obama and Putin agreed on the need for United Nations talks, a ceasefire and a transition government in Syria, the US official said, echoing a plan for Syria already forged by diplomats at talks in Vienna the previous day.

    The Kremlin said "divergences" remained on tactics even if they shared the same goal against Islamic State.

    It was the two presidents' first meeting since Russia in September launched an air campaign in Syria which the Kremlin insists is aimed against IS jihadists. The West however suspects Moscow's true aim is to target opponents of Syrian President Bash
    Bahar al-Assad.

    "Strategic objectives relating to the fight against the Islamic State are, in principle, very similar (between Russia and the US), but there are differences on the tactics side," Ushakov was quoted as saying.

    The official added that Obama reiterated support for the Minsk agreement in Ukraine."

    A report indicates some movements for the peace plan has been decided and defined more fully at last Sunday's meeting:

    "Principally, the plan envisages that:
    • A peace process involving the Syrian government and opposition representatives will formally commence on 1st January 2016;
    • Simultaneously, there will be a nation-wide ceasefire in Syria, which will be monitored by a UN-endorsed ceasefire monitoring mission;
    • Meanwhile, confidence-building measures will be taken, especially to ensure “expeditious humanitarian access”;
    • On a parallel track, Jordan has been tasked with drawing up a list of irreconcilable extremist groups in addition to the Islamic State and Nusra Front;
    • The Syrian-led peace process will establish by end-June 2016 a “credible, inclusive, non-sectarian governance” (read transition) and “set a schedule and process” for drafting a new constitution;
    • Free and fair elections as per the new constitution will be held under UN supervision “within 18 months” in which “all Syrians, including the diaspora” will be eligible to participate."

    So much for the idea that young men should be targeted as terrorists. So now who do you chose to let into your country? Next it will be the children.

    Russia Pounds ISIS With Biggest Bomber Raid in Decades

    Putin’s air force just used its nuclear bombers to lay waste to the capital of the ‘Islamic State.’ But they also hit areas that have little to do with ISIS.

    The Russian air force just pulled off one of the biggest and most complex heavy bomber missions in modern history—sending no fewer than 25 Backfire, Bear, and Blackjack bombers on a coordinated, long-range air raid against alleged ISIS forces in Syria.

    The Tuesday mission, which launched under the cover of darkness from a base in Ossetia in southern Russia, signaled a significant escalation of Moscow’s air war in Syria—and heralded the rebirth of Russian heavy bomber squadrons that once had withered from a lack of funding.

    Gen. Valery Gerasimov, chief of Russia’s general staff, announced the raid on Tuesday, calling it part of “a new plan [for] the air campaign.”

    “During a massive airstrike today, 14 important ISIL targets were destroyed by 34 air-launched cruise missiles,” Gerasimov said, using an alternative acronym for the terror army. “The targets destroyed include command posts that were used to coordinate ISIL activities in the provinces of Idlib and Aleppo, munition and supply depots in the northwestern part of Syria.”

    Quamaroon has informed the UK MP's, upon whose vote depends that the UK will illegally bomb targets in Syria.

    Any anyone else that's bothered by what he says that he is judge, jury and executioner? I'm sure the Israeli leader will agree with him, along with the POTUSE. Will the Queen or her children be amused or frightened when traveling abroad to "promote British interests"?

    "British Prime Minister David Cameron said on Wednesday that "any action" his country might take in Syria is "legal" even without a UN Security Council resolution.

    "It is always preferable in these circumstances to have the full backing of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) but I have to say what matters most of all is that any action we would take would... be legal," Cameron said while speaking at the House of Commons. He added that such action "would help protect” the UK.

    Cameron said he needed "to convince more people" to back the intervention. Speaking to the BBC, he argued that IS "don't recognize a border between Iraq and Syria, and neither should we."

    One MP said "it sounded like Blair in Iraq all over again," RT's Polly Boiko reported from London

    Cameron has previously said the Russian anti-terror operation in the region is "actually backing the butcher Assad and helping him, and really making the situation worse."

    Hr tries to infer that the democratically elected head of Syria, President Assad, is the knife wielding terrorist which Quamaroon supports. Any videos available to support his accusation?

    The Chinese Communist Party tabloid, Global Times, carried on Thursday an editorial titled

    Politics may eclipse anti-terror alliance.

    “Only when Western nations are suffering huge losses, or under great pressure, will they be willing to develop collaboration against terrorism with powers like Russia or China… Anti-terrorism cooperation between the East and the West can only be reached when the latter is in need of more help than the former… The anti-terror alliance between the West and Russia, although a good thing, may only be of limited scale and won’t last long unless the West continues to be a victim of terrorism”.

    Yet another world power speaks out against the unexceptional empire and dangerous game.

    US Bombs Israel 'Just To Be Sure'

    "Pentagon spokesperson Col. Steve Warren announced US aircraft participating in Operation Inherent Resolve, the code name for the campaign against the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS), struck targets in Tel Aviv today.

    When asked why US warplanes would attack a long-standing ally, Warren explained, “Look, guys, this all makes perfect sense,” pointing to a nebulous PowerPoint slide.

    “This was all supposed to be a campaign to topple Bashar al-Asad in Syria, starting with the Arab Spring in 2011. Which, in turn, allowed us to get back at Iran and Russia, both of whom support Syria,” said Warren. “So the CIA considered arming the rebels in Syria, which kind of backfired, and now we have ISIS, a group we thought we had already defeated back when they were al-Qaeda in Iraq.”

    Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter further explained, “Sure, we were a little worried when ISIS started running around the Middle East, chopping everyone’s heads off. But fortunately, Iran came to our rescue. Well, in Iraq, that is. We’re still fighting Iran in Yemen.”

    Chairman of the Joint Chiefs General Joe Dunford stressed the contributions of America’s coalition partners.

    Dunford explained how the US tried to empower allies among the Gulf States to take on ISIS, “which in turn sort of helps us get back at Iran.”

    “Unfortunately, most of those states also covertly support ISIS, even though they’re nominally our long-standing allies. Whoops,” said Dunford.

    “That’s not to say we don’t have some powerful allies in the region, though,” Dunford explained. “The Kurds have proven to be our greatest allies there, and the Turks are one of our longest-standing NATO allies. Unfortunately, they spend more time fighting each other than ISIS. That old saying, ‘nothing brings people together like a common enemy’ is completely useless here.”

    Dunford concluded, “So, you see, ISIS is supported by Arabs, who are opposed by Iranians, who are both opposed and allied with the US, who is sort of allied with Turkey and the Kurds, who are opposed to each other. Since the enemy of my friend is now my enemy, it made sense for the US to bomb Israel, Iran’s bitter adversary.”

    Events grew even more complicated in the wake of the deadly terrorist attacks in Paris last Friday. The attacks were reportedly the work of ISIS, who also claimed credit for the bombing of a Russian airliner earlier this month.

    “France and Russia have formed an alliance, though in doing so, they automatically caused Germany, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire to declare war in return,” said Pentagon Press Secretary Peter Cook. “And, let’s face it, this whole thing really is the fault of the Ottomans when you think about it.”

    The briefing then shifted to issues surrounding Afghanistan and Pakistan.

    “There, the situation is much more simple,” Cook continued. “The US is fighting the Taliban by providing billions of dollars in military aid to Pakistan, which is supporting the Taliban. Basically, it’s like that scene in The Empire Strikes Back where Luke Skywalker thinks he’s fighting Darth Vader, only to find his own face in Darth Vader’s helmet. That’s pretty much what we’ve gotten ourselves into".

    In Just Under 4 Minutes, CBS News Anchor Explains How and Why the US Created ISIS | The Free Thought Project

    Pretty clear that Syrian civil war has been deliberately prolonged, if not instigated, by the USA and its allies to curb the power of the Iranians, Russians and Chinese in the region. This is why Russian involvement is essential, the USA has no interest in stopping isis, it only cares about getting rid of assad.
