What makes it worse is that the Republicans are exponentially better than the Democrats at gaming the system.

When the constitution was framed, two Senate seats were given to each state.

So an Alaskan senator represents 1-200,000 voters and Californian senator represents millions - and they both wield absolutely equal power in the Senate.

Bit of a fucking joke if you ask me but it won't get changed any time soon.

Also, the GOP has carefully cherry picked important states to throw money at and win state races (not federal ones). So they can fuck about with elections and make life difficult if not impossible for the Democrats to vote in those states. We are talking millions of voters, predominately minority groups who tend to vote Democrat, who are near enough denied the vote.

Sooner or later civil unrest will return to America, and it will make the LA riots look like a pissed up scrap in a pub car park.
