NRA members are a vast minority but the most vocal.
50% of the guns are owned by 3% of the population. Another vast minority.

Tax the ammo. Tax it through the roof.

in no rational world should these weapons be sold to the public.

in the image below, the m-16 is used by the US military during war....the other weapons are used by mass murderers of children, students, concert goers, etc..

Sounds like a deal the NRA would consent to if backed in a corner. Age limits only matter to law abiders. Pretty sure a few of the school shooters have been under 18. Good starting point though.

Ammo control laws would help. Too many guns already out there to expect gun control laws to be the answer.

Trump is just playing to the cameras and trying to look good. He said he's going to get rid of bumpstocks altogether and he's urging the committee to raise the age.
However, once it goes to Congress, Trump will let it all be sabotaged.
He also quite tellingly said the senators are petrified of the NRA and that the NRA has power over them.

    Teacher are shooting back now......

A teacher who allegedly fired a gun at a Georgia high school was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after barricading himself in a classroom for nearly an hour.

No students at Dalton High School were hurt directly in the incident or remained in danger after they were evacuated as the crisis unfolded, according to
    Dalton police.

The teacher — identified as Randall Davidson, 53 — initially barricaded himself in an empty classroom at about 11:30 a.m. ET as confused students tried to get in, police spokesman Bruce Frazier said at a news conference. There were then reports that a gun was fired. Davidson, a social studies teacher, surrendered after 30 to 45 minutes, police said.

A math teacher would have worked out the angles, trajectories, etc and had a logical plan.....probably taken out more than just the 9th grade.

The American way of life was originally based on Christian values, how is it then that Christians are a threat to the American way of life.

America is a nation of immigrants, not jesus wheezers.

Why do you think separation of church and state was embedded in the Constitution?
