The natives here use poisoned needles. They dip needles in deadly tree sap poisons and use a variety of bamboo to blow the needle... supok. Guns, poisoned needles, poisoned milk. The end result is death.

And what about catapults? They're pretty dangerous too. Granted, it would take quite a bit of dexterity to do much damage before you were taken out, you know, only having 2 hands and all that, but I imagine you took that into consideration when you observed that the nutter from the Mandalay Bay Hotel could have wreaked just as much havoc with poisoned darts.
