I have stated my perspective- this war was thoroughly avoidable. An utter Failure of Diplomacy.
I would love to see some figures on that, if you have a source. EU assets in Russia exceed 137bn Euro. UK & US assets, I don't know- but BP owns 20% of Rosneft for example, and Shell has a lot invested in NS2.
Whatever the sums, it is clear that Europe has one helluva lot to lose here, as indeed does Russia.
