If the two do the same thing, is not always the same

Kosovo unilaterally declared independence from Serbia in February 2008, after years of strained relations between its Serb and mainly Albanian inhabitants.

It has been recognised by the United States and major European Union countries, but Serbia, backed by its powerful ally Russia, refuses to do so, as do most ethnic Serbs inside Kosovo.

And it was without any referendum but with a massacre.

    Compare with Crimea...

You have as much knowledge of the legalities of sovereignty as you do of spelling.

In poker it's called a "probing bet".

Russia called and raised, so better luck next time, Ukraine.

The whole world can feel lucky that all the stupid provocations - sometimes quite very serious - are handled very carefully and wise by Putin, do not escalate. By help of NATO advice?

    Finally, the iniciators lose:

-what gained Georgia (Gruzia) after the stupid Sakhashvili actions? And what happened to him? And losing their republics South Ossetia, Abkhazia

-what gained Ukraine from the Maidan? Impoverish their own people, corrupted country in turmoil, nearing to bankruptcy despite the huge help from their "friends". Scrapping their plan with US navy base, losing Crimea.

Adding it to the list of false flags the initiators intend to expand on. Luckily the Russian professional sailors, airmen and soldiers, guided by sane political leaders responded in an authoritative but measured way, as usual

Putin high-fives MBS at G20, but did he shake Trump's hand? (VIDEO)

Russian President Vladimir Putin was seen giving a high-five to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, but the moment of a possible handshake with US President Donald Trump was cut out of the live feed.

Those watching the live broadcast from the ongoing G20 summit in Argentina were left guessing whether Trump and Putin, whose official meeting got canceled earlier, even said hello to each other. As the leaders were lining up for a traditional ‘family photo’, Trump was seen walking towards Putin – but at the last possible moment, the feed was cut to a closer shot of a different group. The wide shot was back a few moments later, when Trump was already in his spot further down the line.

    MOSCOW, December 3. /TASS/.

"The Russian Helicopters company (part of the Rostec State Corporation) has received requests to supply more than 70 helicopters to Asian-Pacific countries, worth over $500 mln, the company’s press service said in a statement on Monday.

The helicopter producer recently went on a demonstration tour of Southeast Asian countries, wrapping it up with a presentation in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur on December 3.

"More than half a billion dollars worth of requests to supply over 70 Russian helicopters to Asian-Pacific countries within the next three years, which were received during the one-month demonstration tour, confirm the competitiveness of Russian civilian helicopters abroad. It is also the logical result of the government’s comprehensive measures aimed at supporting Russian exports on the global market," Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said, as cited in the statement.

The company’s press service elaborated that the requests received concern the Mil-171A2 and Ansat civilian helicopters.

"In China alone, a contract has been signed for the supply of 20 Ansat helicopters to the country’s Disaster Medicine Association. Another 50 helicopters are planned to be supplied to Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia," Russian Helicopters Director General Andrei Boginsky said.

According to him, the demand for civilian helicopters in Southeast Asian countries may reach 420 aircraft in the next ten years, so the Russian company expects to get a significant share of the market."

The Ukrainians don't need a false flag event to stage a full on war with Russia. Annexation of Crimea and Russian support of the insurgency is already enough. Fact is, they would lose badly if they tried so that option is not really on the table anyway.

I feel it is only a matter of time before Putin gains full control of the Ukraine (~5 years). A weak UN, a disinterested US, and NATO not eager to get involved...only a matter of attrition. If any false flag events happen, Russia will use it as an opening salvo, most likely though Russia will use local friendlies to take over - not military.
