17 years after 9/11, Al-Qaeda rebranded by US government & media as besieged rebels

"Seventeen years after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the US government and media outlets have decided that Al-Qaeda is now a rebel group worthy of our sympathy. The cynical narrative change is par for the course, experts told RT.
As somber newspaper headlines mark the anniversary of the devastating attacks, some commentators have pointed out that the terrorist group accused of murdering 3,000 Americans seventeen years ago is now occupying northeastern Syria – with the US threatening to take military action if the "rebels" are evicted from the region by the Syrian army and its allies.

The United States has spent an estimated $1.5 trillion on its Global War Against Terrorism, launched in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks, but the United States now seems to find itself providing diplomatic cover – not to mention excellent press – to the terrorists that it once vowed to eradicate."

Even voted in favour of UNSC resolutions!

One wonders if these proven throat slitting terrorists are such "all right, upstanding, democratically educated citizens" why ameristan and it's vassals don't offer to fly them to their own countries. I'm certain they would fit right in with the locals. They would of course require western standard wages, human rights, freedom of political and religious expression, some land for their goats etc.

It would be a win/win event. ameristan and it's vassals get model citizens with the correct ethics. The throat slitting terrorists, spread out in Washington State, Texas, NY city, UK Midlands, Parisian suburbs, Dutch suburbs, Saudi deserts, Israeli newly cleared "homelands", Australian cities and NZ sheep farms will be made extremely welcome. They will expand the shrinking workforce, produce plenty of new taxpayers to fund the countries expanding pensioners. ameristan and it's vassals can concentrate their 'defence of the worlds human rights" by continuing to bomb Asians, Africans, South Americans and Europeans. Until they also become "model citizens" in the western way.

Win/win for the Syrian citizens. Syria doesn't need to buy expensive chemical weapons and helicopters to drop them. It can deploy it's military to uncleansed areas.

Win/win for Russia who can assist in cleansing other polluted areas filled with "the wrong sort" of invaders and terrorists.

Win/win for China who can, after winning all the no-bid, for "national security reasons", redevelopment road, rail city, electricity ........contracts, open it's purse to rebuild the country and create another "moderately prosperous society".

Win/win for Iran, it can concentrate on her surrounding problems.

Win/win for Hezbollah, it can concentrate on protecting Lebanon form invasion from the south and defending it's skies.
